🙏 Wisdom: Choose Best Way, Do God's Will, Col 1:9-12, Assurance, Col 4:12; Love Abounds, Discernment, Phil 1:9-10; Prevent Sin & Evil, Matt 6:13... 🙏 Father, “May our LOVE abound more and more in all knowledge and true discernment, so we distinguish between good and best and make the Best Choices consistently, Phil 1:9-10. "Fill me with this knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so our walk emulates Christ, pleases You all the time and so every good work is fruitful. Let us grow as we know You and Your word more intimately; and be joyful and more grateful that we have the opportunity to have eternal life shared with all our truly sanctified brothers and sisters in light of life," Col 1:9-11.

Father, we ask for that "blessed assurance" and the confidence of knowing that we know," Col 4:12. I'm a little light on practical wisdom, so I ask for generous amounts of it, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7. I especially appreciate that part of our inheritance that as many as are led by Your Holy Spirit are children of God, Rom 8:14 -- we absolutely need to hear Your voice Lord Jesus, Jn 10:27, as You lead us in paths of righteousness for Your Name's sake, Ps 23:3.

Thanks for angels that do "render service for our sake,” Heb 1:14, and keep us in all our ways, Ps 91:10-11. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13, and let us do no wrong, 1 Cor 16:9, keep us from evil, Matt 6:13, from evil people & the evil one, 2Thes 3:2-3. Take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. Grant favor as a shield, Ps 5:12, as we thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, cause faith makes You happy, Luke 7:9, and pleases You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we let our requests be known so the peace of God that passes comprehension guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, 2. We are glad all the promises of God are yes and amen in Him, Cor 1:20. Thank You, Father, and you all in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14.

We join you in seeking the wisdom that comes from above, which is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17). Your heart’s cry for discernment, assurance, and protection resonates deeply with us, for we know that without the Lord’s guidance, our steps falter, and our choices may lead us astray. The scriptures you’ve shared reveal a beautiful alignment with God’s will—seeking His knowledge, walking in His ways, and abounding in love with true discernment.

We are reminded that true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, as Proverbs 9:10 tells us, "The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." This fear is not a trembling dread but a reverent awe that shapes our decisions, our relationships, and our very lives. It is this wisdom that enables us to distinguish between what is good and what is best, to choose the path that glorifies God rather than merely satisfying our own desires. We must also remember that wisdom is not merely intellectual but practical—it is lived out in obedience to Christ. As James 1:22 exhorts, "But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves."

Your prayer for love to abound in knowledge and discernment is a powerful one, for love without wisdom can become misguided, and wisdom without love can become cold and legalistic. Philippians 1:9-10 beautifully captures this balance: "This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment; so that you may approve the things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ." This love is not merely an emotion but a deliberate choice to act in ways that reflect Christ’s character—patient, kind, selfless, and truthful (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

We also lift up your request for assurance, for in a world filled with uncertainty, it is easy to doubt whether we are truly walking in God’s will. Yet, Colossians 4:12 assures us that Epaphras, a faithful servant, labored fervently in prayer that the believers would "stand perfect and complete in all the will of God." This same assurance is available to us when we anchor ourselves in Scripture and submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:16 reminds us, "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God." This testimony is not a vague feeling but a deep, abiding confidence that comes from knowing we are in Christ.

However, we must also address the reality of temptation and sin, for even as we seek wisdom and discernment, the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Your prayer for protection from evil, sin, and the evil one is not only wise but necessary. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, "Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13). This is not a passive request but an active plea for God’s intervention in our lives. We must also take responsibility for our own actions, fleeing from temptation as Joseph did (Genesis 39:12) and putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

We are encouraged by your acknowledgment of the Holy Spirit’s leading, for it is only by His power that we can walk in righteousness. Romans 8:14 declares, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God." This leading is not a mystical experience reserved for a select few but a daily surrender to God’s Word and His promptings. As Jesus said in John 10:27, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." This hearing comes through time spent in prayer, meditation on Scripture, and fellowship with other believers who can confirm God’s direction in our lives.

We also rejoice with you in the promise of God’s protection, for He has given His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). Yet, we must not test the Lord by recklessly walking into danger (Matthew 4:7). Instead, we trust in His sovereignty while exercising wisdom and discernment in our daily lives. The shield of favor you seek is not a guarantee of a trouble-free life but a promise that God will be with us in every trial, working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

As we pray together, we ask the Lord to fill you—and all of us—with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. May our lives be so aligned with Christ that every step we take brings glory to His name. Let us walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10). May our love abound more and more in all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10).

Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the wisdom and discernment You so freely give to those who ask. We thank You for the assurance that comes from knowing we are Your children, led by Your Spirit. Lord, we ask that You would fill us with the knowledge of Your will, that we may walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You. Grant us the wisdom to choose what is best, not merely what is good, and the discernment to recognize Your voice above all others.

Protect us, Father, from the schemes of the evil one and from the temptations that seek to draw us away from You. Deliver us from evil and keep us from falling into sin. Surround us with Your angels, and let Your favor be a shield about us. May our love abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ.

We thank You, Lord, for the peace that surpasses all understanding, which guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We rejoice in the promise that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Him. May we live each day in the confidence of Your love, the assurance of Your salvation, and the wisdom of Your Word. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, for there is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear friend, seeking the same wisdom from above that you're asking for. We're drawn to your heartfelt requests for discernment, assurance, and protection, knowing that without God's guidance, our paths can easily wander off course. We're reminded of the scriptures you've shared, echoing God's will - seeking His knowledge, walking in His ways, and abounding in love with true discernment.

We're struck by your desire for love to abound more and more in knowledge and discernment. Indeed, love without wisdom can lead astray, and wisdom without love can become cold and unyielding. We're reminded of Paul's prayer in Philippians 1:9-10, asking that our love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent, being sincere and without offense until the day of Christ.

We also join you in asking for assurance. In a world filled with uncertainty, it's easy to doubt if we're truly walking in God's will. But we find comfort in Colossians 4:12, assuring us that Epaphras, a faithful servant, labored fervently in prayer that the believers would stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. This same assurance is available to us when we anchor ourselves in Scripture and submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
