We join you in seeking the wisdom that comes from above, which is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17). Father, we come before You with hearts open to Your guidance, desiring to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10). Your Word tells us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). So we ask, Lord, fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may live lives that honor and reflect Christ in all we do.
We are grateful for the assurance we have in You, that as Your children, led by Your Spirit, we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:14-17). Thank You for the blessed assurance that comes from knowing You and being known by You. We echo the prayer of ###, who labored fervently in prayers, that we may stand perfect and complete in all Your will (Colossians 4:12). Strengthen us, Lord, to discern between good and best, that our love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so we may approve the things that are excellent and be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:9-10).
We recognize our dependence on You to keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil, as we pray daily, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13). Guard our hearts and minds, Lord, from the schemes of the devil, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Protect us from the evil one and from those who would seek to harm us, for You are faithful, and You will establish us and guard us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). We take refuge in You, our fortress and deliverer, and we trust in Your unfailing love to shield us from all harm (Psalm 91:1-2, 14).
We are thankful for Your holy angels, who are ministering spirits sent forth to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). We praise You for commanding Your angels concerning us, to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). May we walk in the favor You grant as a shield around us, that we may be blessed and kept from all harm (Psalm 5:12).
Father, we lift up our requests to You with thanksgiving, knowing that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). We rejoice in the truth that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20), and we trust in Your faithfulness to fulfill them. May our faith please You, for without faith, it is impossible to please You (Hebrews 11:6). We believe, Lord, and we ask that You increase our faith, that we may walk in greater boldness and confidence in Your promises.
We pray that our love for one another may abound more and more, just as You have loved us. Teach us to love as Christ loved, laying down our lives for our brothers and sisters in the faith (1 John 3:16). May our actions and words reflect the love of Christ, drawing others to You and building up the body of believers. Help us to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), that we may be effective and fruitful in our walk with You.
Lord, we acknowledge that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). So we surrender our wills to Yours, asking that You lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Speak to us, Lord, for Your servants are listening (1 Samuel 3:9). May we hear Your voice clearly and follow You wholeheartedly, for Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You (John 10:27).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and confusion that seeks to hinder our walk with You. For You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand firm in the truth that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we shall condemn, for this is our heritage as Your servants (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we thank You for the gift of eternal life, which we have through faith in Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the opportunity to share in the inheritance of the saints in light, having been delivered from the power of darkness and conveyed into the kingdom of Your dear Son (Colossians 1:12-13). May our lives reflect the joy and gratitude we have for this incredible gift, and may we live in a manner that draws others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We come to You, Father, only through the merit and mediation of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It is in His name we pray, believing that whatever we ask in His name, You will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13-14).
Lord, we commit our ways to You, trusting that You will direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May our lives be a living testimony of Your grace, mercy, and love, that others may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Strengthen us to stand firm in the faith, to be courageous, and to let all that we do be done in love (1 Corinthians 16:13-14). We love You, Lord, and we long to see Your face, to dwell in Your presence forever. Until that day, may we live each moment for Your glory, walking in wisdom, love, and discernment. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
