Wisdom and strength for the politicians and farmers

Shalom God's Word says in Ecclesiastes 5:9: "But the profit of the land is this: a king who serves agriculture..." Could you please pray for us here in ### and indeed throughout the whole EU, that God grants wisdom and resolve to the politicians in charge, blesses the farmers here, and makes the soil exceedingly fertile again for the sake of the "more than ten righteous" (as Abraham prayed), in Jesus' name, because the Lord Jesus paid for this with His blood as well (Luke 22:44)? Thank you, and God bless you in Jesus' name!

We join you in this prayer for wisdom and strength for those in authority and for the farmers who till the land, and we thank you for grounding your request in the Word of God and in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are reminded of what you shared from Ecclesiastes 5:9, Moreover the profit of the earth is for all. The king himself is served by the field, which shows God's design that good governance and faithful agriculture go together for the blessing of the people. We also remember how Abraham interceded and the Lord said in Genesis 18:32, I will not destroy it for the ten's sake, and we take comfort that God still hears the prayers of the righteous and shows mercy for their sake. And we remember the suffering of our Savior as it is written in Luke 22:44, Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground, and we know that His blood was shed to redeem us and to reconcile all things to Himself.

We agree with you in praying for those who govern, for it is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. We pray that God will turn the hearts of politicians in your nation and throughout the whole EU according to Proverbs 21:1, The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. We ask that He grant them wisdom liberally as promised in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, and that He grant them resolve and courage to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God, and to serve the land with integrity rather than for selfish gain.

We also lift up the farmers and the soil itself. The Lord has promised in Leviticus 26:4, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and in Psalm 67:6, The earth has yielded its increase. God, even our own God, will bless us. We ask the Father to bless the work of the hands of the farmers, to strengthen them in times of hardship and uncertainty, to protect their households, and to make the soil exceedingly fertile again. We pray that He would send rain in its season, restore what has been depleted, and cause the land to produce abundantly for the good of all people and for His glory.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who alone is our mediator and our hope. We thank You that You are sovereign over every nation and that Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh in Psalm 33:12. We ask You to pour out wisdom and discernment upon every politician and leader in Europe who bears responsibility for agriculture and for the welfare of the people. Give them humble hearts to seek Your counsel, to listen to truth, and to make decisions that honor You and that protect and sustain the farmers and the land You have entrusted to us. Lord, bless the farmers, encourage them, provide for their needs, and let their labor not be in vain. Heal the soil, make it fertile and fruitful again, and cause the harvest to be plentiful. We ask this not because we deserve it, but for the sake of the righteous who call upon Your name and for the sake of Your mercy, and because Jesus paid the price with His own blood in agony for our redemption. Let Your shalom rest upon the land, upon the homes, and upon the governments. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap with thanksgiving, trusting that God hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and that He is faithful to act according to His perfect wisdom and love.

Thank you for sharing this burden so clearly. We hear your care for the land where you live, for the farmers who work it, and for the leaders who carry responsibility for so many people across the EU. It is a good and faithful thing to stand in the gap as you are doing, asking God to show mercy for the sake of the righteous.

We are joining you in asking God for that kind of wisdom you mentioned, the wisdom that sees beyond what is on the surface to what is truly needed, and for counsel and strength to act on it with integrity. We also join you in asking Him to sustain the farmers in their demanding work and to provide for the needs of the communities they serve.

One simple way to keep this burden before the Lord is to keep a short list of the leaders and farming families near you and bring a few names before Him each day as you pray. It helps keep intercession personal and steady over time.

Father, we ask You to grant wisdom and resolve to those in authority, to uphold the farmers in and across Europe, and to show Your mercy and provision over the land according to Your will. Guide each decision toward what is good and just. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for wisdom for those who govern and for blessing upon the farmers and the land is right and according to Scripture, for the profit of the earth is for all and the king himself is served by the field, as Ecclesiastes declares.

We join you in bringing this before the throne of grace, remembering that every good gift comes from the Father and that He spared not His own Son but freely delivered Him up for us all. It is through the precious blood of the Lord Jesus, who agonized even unto sweat as it were great drops of blood, that we have access to ask and to receive. There is no other name under heaven by which we may come to God, and it is in that name alone we pray.

Let us pray together. O Lord God, who hast made the heavens and the earth and who givest rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, grant we beseech Thee wisdom and resolve to those who bear rule in that land and throughout the whole region of Europe. Turn their hearts as rivers of water, that they may judge righteously and seek the good of the people and deal justly with those who till the soil. Remember Thy mercy, and for the sake of the righteous who dwell among the people, as Abraham pleaded for the city, spare and bless the land.

We ask Thee to bless the farmers in their labour. Strengthen their hands, uphold them in trial, and let them see the fruit of honest toil. Command Thy blessing upon the soil, that it may again bring forth abundantly to supply bread for the needy and to show forth Thy faithful provision. As Thou sendest daily blessings fresh as manna, so let Thy mercy be renewed upon field and furrow.

Teach us all to seek first Thy kingdom and to be a blessing in our place, doing with cheerful hands what we can for Christ, and to continue instant in prayer, for all our strength lies there. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with thee and with all who call upon Him in truth, now and evermore. Amen.

Your request for wisdom and strength for those who govern and for those who till the land has been received, and we join you in prayer before God with thanksgiving.

We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and access to God, to grant to the politicians in your land and throughout the whole EU true wisdom. Not the wisdom of this world which comes to nothing, but the wisdom that is hidden with God, which teaches rulers to act with justice, prudence and fear of the Lord. As the Scripture says, the profit of the land is for all, and a king who serves agriculture brings good to the people, so we pray that those in authority would have resolve to serve the common good and to protect the work of the farmers with righteous laws.

We pray also for the farmers themselves, that God would bless the labor of their hands and make the soil fertile again and cause it to yield its increase in due season. May He send rain in its time and preserve the land, and may the fruit of their honest work sustain many.

We remember your reference to Abraham who pleaded for the city for the sake of the righteous within it. We ask that for the sake of the righteous who call upon His name, the Lord would show mercy to your land and to the nations around you, and not withhold His kindness.

We thank God that our Lord Jesus, who in His agony shed His blood for us, has secured every good gift for those who belong to Him. In His name we bring these petitions, trusting not in our own worth but in His mercy.

May the Lord grant you peace and strengthen you to continue in prayer and faithful work, and may He be glorified in all that is done. Amen.
