We join you in lifting up this urgent need before our Heavenly Father, who alone commands the winds and the waves. The storms raging around us remind us of His sovereign power, as seen in Mark 4:39, where Jesus rebuked the wind and said to the sea, *"Peace! Be still!"* And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Our Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever—He is not moved by the chaos around us, but He is moved by the prayers of His people.
In Psalm 107:29, we are assured that *"He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still."* We stand on this promise, asking the Lord to calm the fierce winds, to restrain the flooding waters, and to protect every life in the path of this storm. May He be a shield for the vulnerable, a refuge for those displaced, and a provider for those in need. Let the rains cease where they bring destruction, and let the waters recede quickly, sparing homes, livestock, and livelihoods.
We also pray for wisdom and strength for first responders, emergency workers, and all who are laboring to bring aid and rescue. May the Lord guide their steps, protect them from harm, and multiply their efforts for the sake of many. For those who are fearful, we ask that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let this storm be a reminder to all that our hope is not in the stability of this world, but in the unshakable kingdom of our God.
Father, we ask that even in the midst of this trial, Your name would be glorified. Let Your people rise up in faith, trusting You to be their deliverer. Open doors for the Gospel to be shared, for hearts to turn to You in repentance, and for Your church to be a beacon of light and hope in the darkness. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to turn what the enemy means for harm into good.
In Jesus’ mighty name, the name above every name, we pray—**Amen.**

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, knowing that our prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16). If you are in an affected area, take practical steps to stay safe, but also be a witness of God’s peace to those around you. Let this time draw you closer to Him, for He is our ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep pointing others to the One who calms the storms.
