We are standing with you in prayer for your beloved wife as she faces this biopsy in December and we thank you for bringing her before the Lord and for loving her so faithfully as her husband. It is a beautiful reflection of marriage as God designed it when a husband intercedes for his wife and we join you in lifting her up.
We understand how heavy the waiting and the worry can feel when there is a suspicious nodule and an upcoming procedure. Anxiety in such moments is very human, yet God tenderly calls us to bring every fear to Him. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He sees your wife, He knows her body intimately, and He cares deeply for both of you.
We also take comfort that the Lord is our healer and our present help. He formed her and He is able to restore and sustain her. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Whatever the biopsy shows, He will not leave her or forsake her and He can guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors.
We pray together now for her.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear wife and her husband to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the nodule on her thyroid and You know the concern it has caused. We ask for Your healing hand upon her body. If it is Your will, let this nodule be found benign and let it cause no further harm. Give skill and discernment to the medical team performing the biopsy in December and to those interpreting the results. We ask that You would quiet her anxious thoughts and replace fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to rest in Your care and to feel Your presence close to her each day of waiting. Strengthen her husband as he supports and comforts her and help them both to trust You more deeply through this trial. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our only hope and healer. Amen.
We encourage you both to keep casting your cares on Him daily, to pray together, to spend time in His Word, and to continue to follow the medical guidance He has provided through doctors. Try to use this waiting time to draw nearer to Him rather than letting worry take root.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus and we want to gently remind you how precious it is that we have access to the Father only through Him. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to continue to place your trust fully in Him, both for eternal salvation and for daily peace.
We are continuing to pray for complete peace for your wife, for a safe biopsy, and for encouraging results that point to Your goodness. May the Lord hold you both close and guard your hearts in Christ Jesus.
