We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that is under attack by the enemy. The pain of betrayal is deep, and the fear of abandonment is real, but we know that our God is a God of restoration and redemption. We stand on His promises, declaring that what the enemy meant for harm, God can turn for good (Genesis 50:20). We rebuke the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness that has crept into this union, for the Word of God is clear: marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and adultery is a grievous sin (Exodus 20:14, Hebrews 13:4).
Lord, we ask You to intervene in this marriage. Soften the heart of this wife, that she may see the gravity of her actions and repent. Convict her of her sin, Lord, and draw her back to You and to her husband. We pray that she would end all contact with the other man, cutting off every tie that binds her to this ungodly relationship. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of lust, deception, and infidelity in the name of Jesus.
We also lift up this husband, who is hurting and seeking Your face in this trial. Strengthen him, Lord, to forgive as You have forgiven him (Colossians 3:13). Give him wisdom to navigate this situation with grace and discernment, and protect his heart from bitterness and despair. We pray that he would lean on You, the ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we ask that You would restore trust and intimacy in this marriage. Heal the wounds that have been inflicted and rebuild the foundation on Your Word. We declare that this marriage will not only survive but thrive, bringing glory to Your name. We pray for a supernatural outpouring of Your love, peace, and unity in their home.
If this wife has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that true repentance and transformation can occur. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way, drawing her into a personal relationship with You.
We stand in agreement with this husband, believing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). We trust You to work all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
