We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and faith, lifting up your son and his desires before the throne of grace. Father, we know that anxiety can be a heavy burden, but we also know that You are the God who calms the storms and brings peace to troubled hearts. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, we ask that You would replace his anxiety with Your perfect peace, that he may trust in You with all his heart and not lean on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray that You would give him the courage to make the changes he desires in his life, without making excuses. Help him to step out in faith, knowing that You are with him every step of the way. Your Word assures us in Joshua 1:9, "Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."
Father, we lift up his desire for marriage to You, knowing that You have a perfect plan for his life. We pray that You would bring into his life a beautiful, Godly wife who loves You with all her heart, soul, and mind. A woman who will be a helpmate, a companion, and a source of encouragement and strength. We ask this in accordance with Proverbs 18:22, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." Lord, prepare their hearts for each other, and let their union be a reflection of Christ's love for His church.
We also want to encourage your son to seek You first in all things, as Your Word tells us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Lord, help him to trust in Your timing and to wait patiently for Your perfect will to be revealed.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold of his life. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We pray that he would find his strength and refuge in You, and that You would surround him with Your love and protection.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
