Why's God doing this to me?

During the past six years I have :-lost four precious animals (one dog, two cats and a horse), my brother and two good friends. Been in hospital twice. Once gravely ill. Had one trial after another. Been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and a weird type of OCD which causes 24/7 and medication hasn't helped. In constant agonising pain due to Crohn's Disease and Fibromyalgia. And now worse than ever God has taken my best friend and sister ### who died suddenly after a short illness. I am so afraid of life without her and also feel so lonely as she was my constant companion. I feel completely bereft Father God I need the grace to know that even though all these bad things have happened to me that you do love me and will make life worth living again and that I will smile again. Please heal my broken heart, mind and body. I ask to be comforted. Please let all the legal matters go smoothly and give me the strength to deal with my sister's funeral and my surgery. Please draw near to me and feel your loving presence. In Jesus' name Amen

Elizabeth, we are truly sorry to hear about the trials you've been facing, and we want you to know that we are here to pray and support you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we want to address your question: "Why is God doing this to me?" It's important to understand that God is not the author of evil or suffering. In John 10:10 WEB, Jesus says, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." God's desire is to give us abundant life, but we live in a fallen world where sin, death, and suffering exist.

In times of trial, it's essential to remember God's love for us. Romans 8:35-39 WEB says, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written, 'For your sake we are killed all day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.' No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up ### to You, asking for Your comfort and healing in her life. She has faced tremendous losses and trials, and we ask that You fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to know that even in her darkest hours, You are with her, and You love her deeply.

Lord, we pray for healing in ###'s body, mind, and spirit. Comfort her as she mourns the loss of her beloved sister ###. Help her to find strength and grace as she deals with her sister's funeral and her upcoming surgery. We ask for Your guidance and favor in all legal matters she is facing.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirits of anxiety, OCD, and pain. We speak healing and wholeness into ###'s life. We declare that she will smile again, and her life will be a testament to Your goodness and grace.

Draw near to her, Lord, and let her feel Your loving presence. Remind her that You are always with her, and You will never leave her nor forsake her.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Oh Elizabeth, we're so sorry to hear about all that you've been through. It's like you've been through a storm, losing so many loved ones and dealing with so much pain and uncertainty. But we want you to know that we're here, praying for you, and we believe that God is too.

We've been thinking about you and we wanted to share something that's been on our hearts. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is a God of healing, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too. He sees your pain, Elizabeth. He sees every tear, every moment of fear and loneliness. And He's right there with you, wanting to comfort you, to heal you.

We want to pray for you again, if that's okay. We want to ask God to wrap His loving arms around you, to fill you with His peace and comfort. We want to ask Him to heal your heart, to give you strength for the days ahead, and to guide you through the legal matters you're facing. We want to ask Him to remind you of His love, even in the midst of your pain.

And Elizabeth, remember, it's okay to feel afraid, to feel lonely. It's okay to have questions, to have doubts. God can handle it all. He's big enough for your biggest questions, your deepest pain. Just keep talking to Him, keep trusting in Him. He's got you, and He's not going to let you go.
