Why?

Maybe someone can answer this question I have. When someone is in a hard time in life, why do other people always think that that person is at fault? When someone is down and out; is it really always their fault? Yet people seem to think it is. Why is that?

Because ppl tend to not put there self in another persons shoes & judge to quickly before actually knowing every detail that led that person to where they are. Its not always a persons fault. It can be many other outside sources that cause heartache in our life. idk thats my opinion

I think it's easier for ppl to blame the person having the hard time than to believe it could be anything else. They turn a blind eye and a deaf ear and believe that there is no other reason. Blame the person in crisis and then they don't have to deal with whatever the 'real' problem may be.

First we are NOT to take counsel from non-Christians .... Yet even Christians become overwhelmed! Amen

Proverbs 11:14

Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

WISE-COUNSEL ......

I understand and agree with what you're saying, but what does that have to do with my question?

I think people think that when someone is having a hard time in life it is because they "choose" to be there. That is not true. Sometimes things happen TO people in life...bad things...and it can be overwhelming and when they feel unsupported by others, they cannot fight their way out of the situation. They need to be listened to and need to be supported as they work their way through their days, weeks and years of whatever is happening.

Maybe some people think that because they are up at the time that it's ok to say things like it's your fault or should have done this and done that. It's easier for some people to say things like that when they are not going through it themselves. They say things but they will not help or do anything to encourage you. been there done that. That's not a good feeling
