In the Bible, we read, Noah went into the Ark, and on that day the flood came and washed everyone away.ON THAT DAY. Also, 'And Lot brought his family out of Sodom, and the Lord reigned fire and brimstone down on Sodom and Gommorah."When Samson was in the Philistine temple, he prayed,"Remember me Lord, and strengthen me,O lord, that I might be avenged on the Philistines for my 2 eyes."And{not a million years hence, but just afterward,}"And he bent himself with power, and the house went falling upon the lords, and all the people in it."In the Bible, justice was speedy. But then, nowadays....I've been hearing tv pastors saying,the Rapture{then the tribulation,then Armageddon}could come before they finish their broadcast.Yet some of those telecasts were 20 and 30 years ago, and we're still here.I've also heard them state that there's "no way" Jesus WON'T come in our lifetime, we're "definitely" the last generation."" But many have died since they said that,even some of the pastors who said it!!!So it shows me one thing--we can't go by mans wisdom,{even pastors} but it also raises the question for me--why was it in the Bible judgement was handed out speedily, but with current similar situations, it's more "dragged out?" What"s the difference between then and now?

Why was justice swifter in Bible times?

To begin with all things have a time. People for ages have seen signs and taken 1 thing and made it be everything falsely. Secondly our time is not the Father's time. If you note in the Bible, long ago, people lived many years. Now they don't. As far as Noah goes for the punishment of the world, you say it was a day, the same day. But it actually in Genesis 5 it was approximately 969 years from Enoch prophesied of the destruction before it actually came. (Jude 1:14-16) Enoch's prophecy. As far Samson goes, he was a Nazarite from the womb. He knew not to go to these evil things, but he still did. Do you not think that him pulling down the pillars was pre-ordained from long before? His hair did not grow back in a minute. Rather, it was over the time that he was there that it grew back. That was the source of his strength, however, did not the Lord hear the one he ordained in the womb? Does he not hear a righteous man or woman when they cry out to him? Samson at that point had repented. He was clean again. So one day is as a 1000 years, and the WORD says in the end of time, that time will be shortened.
So, in reference to the ones that say this, or say that, I give you: What time is it? It is at this time clear that the oceans are almost dead. It is also clear that the trees have been burnt by fire as the WORD says. So, if there are not enough trees to make O2, then the time must be getting close for all of us. Animals and people are dying at ever higher rates.
So you ask why: Well, in my opinion the Father simply doesn't care to respond to people who will not do what he said. Jesus said keep my commands if ye love me. Many times in the Bible the Father says he simply won't listen to us if we are not "correct". The time and times also must be fulfilled according to all scripture as it is written. I think this is the answer you seek.

Well, like Jesus said, "These things must occur first, but the end is not yet".But these who get "overzealous". Some have even set dates."On this day at this time Jesus will come".But that's not really scriptural, because Jesus said,"Concerning that day , no one knows, not the angels in Heaven or the Son, but only the Father."

It has more of a harmful affect, because the world is already cynical, and when they're {always} wrong, it gives them another excuse to be cynical.

That is why the WORD says so many will turn away. It is because of the false preachers and prophets. You can search that under labels at the site I gave you. It is our site.
Do not ever set dates on what God has stored for cities, towns or countries. God decides when to punish and when to deliver those cities that sin against Him. This is like our daily prayer. Thy will be done... we always say. If the anwer comes right away, be happy, be joyful. If the answer comes weeks, months or years later, praise the Lord. It is in His hands the times and the hour in which He will send blessings or punishment. Just be thanfuld to God that we were chosen from the begining of the earth to be His very own. He will never ever leave us nor forsake us.

Justice from the Lord comes when He decides. All we have to do is to repent before terrible things shall happen to us. Fast and pray before the Lord so we will be found faultless before His holy throne.
