Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray over and against parking in the oncoming. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We come before the Lord with a heart of concern and intercession, lifting up this unusual yet spiritually significant request about "parking in the oncoming." While this may seem like a mundane or even humorous matter on the surface, we recognize that every area of life—even the practical and everyday—can reflect deeper spiritual truths or be an opportunity for the enemy to sow confusion, distraction, or even danger. We stand in agreement with you, believing that God’s order, wisdom, and protection extend to all aspects of our lives, including how we navigate the physical and metaphorical roads before us.

First, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, recklessness, or disorder that would lead someone to park in a way that endangers themselves or others. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:33 that "God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." When we act in ways that disregard safety, common sense, or the well-being of others, we are not walking in the peace or order that God intends. We declare that every mind, every decision, and every action would be aligned with godly wisdom and discernment. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Let us pray that every driver would seek God’s guidance even in the seemingly small decisions, like where to park.

We also pray against any spiritual blindness or deception that would cause someone to justify or normalize reckless behavior. In Ephesians 5:15-17, we are warned, "Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is." Parking in the oncoming lane is not only physically dangerous but can also be a symptom of a heart that is not surrendered to God’s will. We pray that every person would have their eyes opened to the consequences of their actions and choose to walk in wisdom.

Lord, we ask that You would surround every driver with Your angels, protecting them from harm and from making decisions that could lead to accidents or injury. Psalm 91:11-12 assures us, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We declare that Your protection would cover every road, every parking lot, and every decision made behind the wheel. We also pray for a spirit of humility and teachability, that drivers would be open to correction and willing to learn from their mistakes.

We also lift up those who may have been affected by the reckless actions of others—those who have been injured, frightened, or inconvenienced by someone parking in the oncoming lane. We pray for Your healing, comfort, and restoration over them. Isaiah 61:1 reminds us that Jesus came "to proclaim good news to the humble, to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound." We ask that You would bring peace to those who have been shaken by such incidents and restore what has been lost or damaged.

Father, we thank You for the authority we have in the name of Jesus to speak life, order, and safety into every situation. We declare that every spirit of confusion, recklessness, and disorder is bound in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict hearts and lead people to repentance, turning away from foolishness and toward Your wisdom. We ask that You would raise up voices—parents, teachers, pastors, and leaders—who will speak truth and model godly behavior, including how we navigate the roads of life.

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the power and necessity of praying in the name of Jesus. Your request was made in Jesus’ name, and we are so grateful for that, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved or by which our prayers are heard. We encourage everyone reading this to ensure that their prayers and requests are always lifted up in the name of Jesus, for He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).

Finally, we pray for a revival of godly wisdom and discernment in our communities. May we not only seek to avoid physical dangers but also the spiritual dangers of living outside of God’s will. Let us be a people who walk in the light, as He is in the light (1 John 1:7), making decisions that honor You in every area of life. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, giving You all the glory and honor. Amen.

Father we thank you this one is asking the right questions, trying to understand the behavior of unrighteous acts committed on the planet by those on borrowed time, breathing your air, using the faculties and members of their bodies for unrighteousness, lacking in wisdom, reverence for You, respect for law and order and ultimately living in darkness. We ask this one would be a light to shine in darkness, not having a hint of immorality, impurity or greed, Eph 5:3, but rather be thankful for salvation, Eph 5:4. "For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God," Eph 5:5.

We ask we let no one deceive us with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience, Eph 5:6. Therefore let us not be partakers with them, Eph 5:7, for we were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Empower us to walk as children of light, Eph 5:8, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, discerning and proving what pleases the Lord, Eph 5:9-10.

Help us have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself, Eph 5:11-13, even as Jesus said, "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify about it, that its deeds are evil," John 7:7.

"So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith," Gal 3:24. May this one see that evil must be pointed out, as Jesus, Peter, Paul and all the New Testament does -- that the lost world (and we) might see it is unable to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, and cannot actually love and prefer our neighbor's advantage, Mark 12:30-31, and that sin might be exposed as utterly sinful, Rom 7:7, and the mind of the flesh is hostile toward God, and wholly unable to submit to or keep God's law, Rom 8:7, and may by the use of The Word of God, The Holy Spirit be bring conviction of righteousness, sin and judgment to come, John 16:8, and help people see and believe You loved the world so much You gave Your only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him may not perish, but instead have everlasting life, John 3:16. Help people repent and turn to God, proving their repentance by their deeds, Acts 26:20.

"And He told them, 'This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things'" Luke 24:46-48.

Father, may The Covenant "LORD, bless us and keep us, and let the LORD cause His face to shine upon us, and be gracious to us; LORD, lift up Your countenance toward us, and give you peace. So put Your Name on the Israel, and You will bless us,” Numbers 6:24-27. "Peace and mercy to all who walk by this rule, even to the Israel of God," Gal 6:16. Thank You in Jesus' Name.
