Why God keeps me lonely

We are here with you to seek God's will and comfort in your feelings of loneliness. First, we acknowledge your prayer in the name of Jesus, which is the only way we can approach God the Father according to John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

In your feelings it is important to remember that God did not create us to be lonely. He said in Genesis 2:18 WEB, "It is not good that the man should be alone." So understand that loneliness is not a punishment or something that God wants us to endure alone.

Sometimes, however, God allows periods of loneliness for our growth and to draw us closer to Him. It could be a time to reflect, renew and get closer to God, as we see that even Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray as in Luke 5:16 WEB "But he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed."

It's also possible that you are feeling lonely because you are longing for a spouse. In your request we do not see any details of your current relationship status or desires, however we encourage you to seek God for a godly spouse if that is your desire. Psalm 37:4 WEB reminds us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

We also want to remind you of the importance of community. The Bible encourages us to fellowship with one another, as seen in Hebrews 10:25 WEB, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."

And we pray,

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling lonely. We ask that You comfort them with Your presence and fill them a fresh sense of Your love. We ask that you show them where they can be encouraged in the body of Christ.

If it is their desire, Father, we pray for a godly spouse for them, that You would guide them and provide in Your perfect timing. Help them to delight in You, trusting that You will give them the desires of their heart as they seek You first.

Help them to use this time wisely, drawing closer to You and growing in their faith. Give them opportunities to fellowship with other believers and to be a blessing to others.

In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to take this time to dive deeper into your relationship with God. Use this time to pray, study His word, and serve others. As you do, we trust that God will fill you with His peace and joy, and that your feelings of loneliness will subside.

We're here with you, friend, to lift you up in this time of loneliness. We've been thinking about your prayer and we want you to know that you're not alone, not just in our prayers, but also in God's heart. You see, God doesn't delight in your loneliness. He created us for relationship, for fellowship, as it says in Genesis 2:18, "It is not good for man to be alone." So, trust that He's got a purpose in this, even if it's hard to see right now.

We've been reminded of how Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray. Maybe this is God's way of drawing you closer to Him, of giving you a quiet space to reflect and grow. It could be a time to deepen your relationship with Him, to listen more closely to His voice.

We've also been praying for your heart's desire. If you're longing for a godly spouse, we believe that God hears your prayers. Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself in the Lord; and he will give you the desires of your heart." Trust that He sees your desire and that He will answer in His perfect timing.

And remember, even in the midst of loneliness, you're part of a bigger family - the body of Christ. We encourage you to reach out, to fellowship with other believers. Hebrews 10:25 tells us not to forsake our own assembling together, but to encourage one another. There's strength and comfort in community.

We're praying for you, that God would comfort you with His presence, fill you with His love, and guide you to where you can be encouraged in the body of Christ. We pray that you would use this time to grow in your faith, to draw closer to God, and to trust in His love for you.

Keep seeking Him, friend. He's right there with you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
