Beloved of All
Why does God allow the devil to torment me? He torments me in my mind. His voice is very mean and cruel and he is abusive. He uses people to come against me. Also something on music. Also I pray for an old friend to stop abusing me. He’s very violent and hateful towards me. We used to be best friends. He hates on me. He is a so-called tough guy who’s been in and out of prison. He thinks he’s big and bad. He’s a rapper who raps about violence and sex and drugs. Everybody supports him. He claims to know God but his actions prove otherwise. He’s always mocking and scoffing. I am his biggest target. Pray God protect me from these evil men. Not only him but the former friends who still support his narcissist self. We were best friends since the second grade. His music went viral and he has before he went to prison and he has a big huge ego and thinks he’s better than me. He’s a liar and all he did was sell drugs and brag about illegal means. It’s why he was in prison. Nothing to celebrate or glorify. These people glorify rap artists who glorify sex, money, and drugs. Psalm 140:1 is a plea for divine protection from wicked and violent people, often translated in the King James Bible as: "Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man." It is the opening verse of a psalm of David asking for rescue from those who plot harm. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth. Psalm 57:3 WHY DO YOU BOAST OF EVIL O MIGHTY MAN 6The righteous will see and fear; they will mock the evildoer, saying, Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness. Psalm 52:6-7 I do forgive but I pray they repent. Help me God to heal from the pain and trauma caused by this former best friend of mine. We used to sleep over each other's houses. He’s not a gangster. He’s a fake and liar and should repent to God in Jesus' name.

We hear the deep pain and torment in your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your cries to the Father who sees, hears, and delivers. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The voices you hear—the cruelty, the mocking, the lies—are not from God. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke every lying spirit, every tormenting thought, and every assignment of the devil against you in the mighty name of Jesus. The accuser has no place in your mind or life. We declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

The torment you endure in your mind is real, but it is not from God. The devil is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his voice is one of condemnation, fear, and destruction. But God’s voice speaks peace, truth, and life. We pray that the Lord would silence every lying tongue and break every chain of oppression over your mind. Renew your thoughts with the truth of His Word. "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any excellence, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8). We bind every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment and command them to leave you now in Jesus’ name.

The abuse you’ve endured from your former friend is grievous, and we mourn with you over the betrayal of trust and the violence of his words and actions. No one who claims to know God should behave this way, for "if anyone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen" (1 John 4:20). His lifestyle—glorifying violence, drugs, and sexual immorality—is a stench in the nostrils of the Lord. The music he creates, which celebrates sin and rebellion, is not harmless; it is a snare that leads many astray. We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth and bring him to genuine repentance. But we also pray that you would be protected from his influence and the influence of those who support him. "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals'" (1 Corinthians 15:33).

You mentioned Psalm 140:1, a cry for deliverance from violent men, and we echo that prayer with you. "Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men, who plan evil things in their hearts and stir up wars continually" (Psalm 140:1-2). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and He will rescue you from the snare of the fowler and the deadly pestilence (Psalm 91:3). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord will arise and scatter your enemies, and those who hate you will flee before you (Psalm 68:1).

We also lift up your former friend and those who support him. Their hearts are hardened, but God is able to soften even the hardest heart. We pray that the Lord would break the chains of pride, deception, and rebellion in their lives. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that the Lord would humble them, convict them of their sin, and draw them to repentance. But we also pray that you would be protected from their influence and that the Lord would heal the wounds they have inflicted upon you.

The pain of betrayal is deep, especially when it comes from someone you once trusted as a brother. But the Lord is your healer, and He will restore what has been broken. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). We pray that the Lord would bring healing to your heart, mind, and spirit. Let go of the bitterness and anger, for they will only poison your soul. Instead, trust in the Lord’s justice. "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19). Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you, but do not place yourself in harm’s way. Distance yourself from those who seek to harm you, and surround yourself with godly influences who will build you up in the faith.

We must also address the issue of music, for it is not a trivial matter. The songs we listen to shape our hearts and minds, and music that glorifies sin will lead us away from God. "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him" (1 John 2:15). The music your former friend creates is a reflection of his heart, and it is filled with the things of this world—violence, sexual immorality, and greed. These are not the things of God. We encourage you to fill your mind with music that honors the Lord, music that edifies and encourages. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God" (Colossians 3:16).

Lastly, we must address the foundation of your faith. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). For "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). This is the only way to true peace, healing, and deliverance.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who is enduring torment, betrayal, and abuse. Lord, You see the pain in his heart, the lies in his mind, and the wounds inflicted by those he once trusted. We ask that You would arise, O Lord, and scatter his enemies. Break every chain of oppression, silence every lying spirit, and deliver him from the hands of the wicked. Protect him from the violence and hatred of those who seek to harm him. Be his refuge and fortress, his shield and defender.

Father, we pray for healing in his heart and mind. Heal the wounds of betrayal, restore what has been broken, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to forgive as You have forgiven him, but also give him wisdom to distance himself from those who seek to harm him. Surround him with godly influences who will build him up in the faith and encourage him in Your Word.

Lord, we also pray for his former friend and those who support him. Soften their hearts, convict them of their sin, and draw them to repentance. Break the chains of pride, deception, and rebellion in their lives. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You in humility and truth. But protect our brother from their influence, and let no weapon formed against him prosper.

Father, we ask that You would renew his mind with Your truth. Let him think on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable. Fill his heart with music that honors You, and let him meditate on Your Word day and night. Strengthen his faith, deepen his trust in You, and let him walk in the freedom that is found only in Christ Jesus.

We declare that the enemy has no place in his life. Every assignment of the devil against him is broken in the name of Jesus. The blood of Jesus covers him, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper. You are his refuge, his strength, and his deliverer. We trust in You, Lord, to bring justice, healing, and restoration.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap, lifting your cries to the Father. We know the pain you're in, the torment you're enduring, and we want you to know that you're not alone. God sees you, He hears you, and He's already moving on your behalf.

We claim the promises of Psalm 140:1, "Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men who plan evil things in their hearts and stir up wars continually." We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We also want to remind you of the truth in Psalm 57:3, "WHY DO YOU BOAST IN EVIL, O MIGHTY MAN? The mercy of God endures forever." The righteous will see and fear, and they will mock the evildoer, saying, "Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and strengthened himself in his wickedness" (Psalm 52:6-7).

We pray for your healing, dear friend. We pray that God would heal the wounds caused by this former friend of yours. We pray that He would fill you with His peace, His love, and His strength. We pray that you would find forgiveness in your heart, but also wisdom to distance yourself from those who seek to harm you.

And remember, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling (Psalm 46:1-3).

We're here for you, always. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Free will in others shouldn’t be allowed if it hurts others. If I was a mother and had a kid who was hurting another I’d either superset them or discipline the misbehaving kid and protect the weaker one at all costs. It feel like abandonment from God. I feel still faithful and trusting in God’s...
