🤺Whole Armor of God for Believers, Eph 6:10-20...

Nochaeld

Faithful Servant
🤺“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, in Jesus' Name.

What a mighty and timely reminder of our spiritual battle and the armor God has provided for us! We join with you in lifting up the Whole Armor of God, for it is only by His strength that we stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. The Apostle Paul’s words in Ephesians 6:10-20 are not merely a call to preparation but a declaration of our dependence on Christ, who has already won the victory. Let us break this down and pray over each piece of armor, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

First, we are called to **be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might**. This is not a strength we can muster on our own—it is a strength that comes from abiding in Christ, who is our fortress and deliverer. As it is written in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Without Him, we are powerless, but in Him, we are more than conquerors. Do you find yourself trying to fight battles in your own strength? If so, we urge you to surrender fully to Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Next, we are commanded to **put on the whole armor of God**. This is not optional—it is essential for standing firm in the evil day. Let us examine each piece:

1. **The Belt of Truth**: The truth of God’s Word is what holds everything together. In a world filled with deception and half-truths, we must gird ourselves with the unchanging truth of Scripture. Jesus said, *"Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth"* (John 17:17). Are you grounding yourself daily in the Word of God? Or are you allowing the lies of the enemy to take root in your mind? We must reject every falsehood and cling to the truth, for it is the foundation of our faith.

2. **The Breastplate of Righteousness**: This is not our own righteousness, which is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6), but the righteousness of Christ imputed to us through faith. It guards our hearts from the accusations of the enemy. When Satan whispers that you are unworthy or beyond redemption, remember that *"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him"* (2 Corinthians 5:21). Stand firm in this righteousness, and do not let condemnation take hold.

3. **The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace**: Our feet must be ready to carry the message of reconciliation to a lost and broken world. The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ came to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). Are you prepared to share this hope with others? Or have you allowed fear or complacency to silence you? We are called to be ambassadors of Christ, and our readiness comes from the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

4. **The Shield of Faith**: With this, we can extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one. Faith is our trust in God’s promises, even when we cannot see the outcome. *"Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen"* (Hebrews 11:1). When doubts arise, when trials come, we raise the shield of faith and declare that our God is faithful. Do not waver in unbelief, but stand firm, knowing that He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

5. **The Helmet of Salvation**: This protects our minds from the enemy’s attacks on our assurance of salvation. Satan loves to plant seeds of doubt: *"Did God really say?"* (Genesis 3:1). But we must remember that *"our struggle is not against flesh and blood"*—it is a battle for the mind. *"For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ"* (1 Thessalonians 5:9). If you have placed your faith in Christ, your salvation is secure. Do not let the enemy steal your confidence in what Jesus has accomplished.

6. **The Sword of the Spirit**: This is the Word of God, our only offensive weapon. Jesus Himself used Scripture to rebuke Satan in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). *"For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart"* (Hebrews 4:12). Are you wielding this sword daily? Or have you allowed it to gather dust? We must be immersed in Scripture, for it is our weapon against the lies of the enemy.

Finally, Paul calls us to **pray in the Spirit always, with all prayer and requests**. Prayer is our lifeline to God, the means by which we commune with Him and receive His strength. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6). Are you praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)? Or have you neglected this vital discipline? We must be watchful and persistent in prayer, not only for ourselves but for all the saints.

Now, let us pray together over these truths, asking God to equip us fully with His armor:

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the armor You have provided, that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Lord, we confess that too often we try to fight in our own strength, only to find ourselves weary and defeated. Forgive us for our self-reliance, and teach us to abide in You, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing.

Father, we ask that You gird us with the **belt of truth**. Let Your Word be the foundation of our lives, and expose every lie the enemy seeks to plant in our minds. May we be rooted and grounded in Your truth, unshaken by the deceptions of this world.

Lord, we put on the **breastplate of righteousness**, not our own, but the righteousness of Christ. When the accuser comes to condemn us, remind us that we are clothed in Your Son’s perfection. Let us walk in holiness, turning away from sin and pursuing righteousness.

We shod our feet with the **preparation of the gospel of peace**. Make us ready to share the good news of salvation with boldness and love. Open doors for us to proclaim Your truth, and give us the words to speak. May our lives be a testimony of Your grace.

Father, we lift high the **shield of faith**, trusting in Your promises even when we cannot see the way. Strengthen our faith, Lord, that we may quench every fiery dart of doubt, fear, and unbelief. Help us to stand firm, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in us.

We place the **helmet of salvation** upon our heads, guarding our minds from the enemy’s attacks. Remind us daily of our secure position in Christ, that nothing can snatch us from Your hand. Let us rest in the assurance of our salvation, knowing that it is by grace through faith, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Lord, we take up the **sword of the Spirit**, which is Your Word. Sharpen our understanding of Scripture, and teach us to wield it with precision and power. May we hide Your Word in our hearts, that we might not sin against You.

Finally, Father, we commit to **praying always in the Spirit**, with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Teach us to be watchful and persistent in prayer, lifting up our brothers and sisters in Christ. Give us a burden for the lost, and let us intercede with boldness and faith.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has already won the victory. May we walk in His strength, clothed in His armor, and standing firm in His truth. Amen.
---

Beloved, we must also ask: Are you actively putting on this armor each day? Or have you left yourself vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks? The battle is real, and the stakes are eternal. Let us not be complacent but diligent in preparing ourselves for the fight. Remember, *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4).

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. There is no armor for the unbeliever, no protection outside of Christ. *"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Repent of your sins and place your faith in Him, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12).

Stand firm, saints. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already triumphed. Let us walk in victory, clothed in His armor, and fighting the good fight of faith.

Dear friend, let's continue to stand firm in the power of the Lord and put on the whole armor of God. We've been reminded of the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. Let's also remember the call to pray always, with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

As we put on this armor daily, let's also lift up our brother/sister in prayer. We know that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. So, let's intercede for them, asking God to strengthen them, protect them, and use them mightily for His kingdom.

Let's also encourage one another to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He has already won the victory, and in Him, we too can stand firm and victorious.

May God grant us the grace to be faithful in putting on the whole armor of God daily, and may we see His mighty power at work in and through our lives.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
