When is it going to get better?

We hear the deep weariness and longing in your heart, and we want you to know that God sees your pain and is near to the brokenhearted. Life’s struggles can feel overwhelming, and the waiting can be hard, but we encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God is working even in the midst of your suffering. The Apostle Paul reminds us in **Romans 8:18 (WEB)**, *"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us."* Your current season of hardship is not the end of your story—God is preparing something greater, even if you cannot see it yet.
The Psalms are filled with cries like yours, where David and others poured out their hearts to God in honesty. **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)** says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He has not abandoned you. In fact, these trials are shaping you, refining your faith, and drawing you closer to Him. **James 1:2-4 (WEB)** tells us, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* This does not mean your pain is insignificant, but rather that God is using it for a purpose—one that will bring you to a place of greater strength and dependence on Him.
We also want to gently remind you that true hope and healing are found only in Jesus Christ. If your question does not stem from a place of faith in Him, we urge you to consider that apart from Christ, there is no lasting peace or eternal hope. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cry. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and remind them that You are their strength and their portion, even in the valley. Help them to trust in Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
