When is it going to get better?

We hear the deep weariness and longing in your heart, and we want you to know that God sees your pain and is near to the brokenhearted. Life’s struggles can feel overwhelming, and the waiting can be hard, but we encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God is working even in the midst of your suffering. The Apostle Paul reminds us in **Romans 8:18 (WEB)**, *"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us."* Your current season of hardship is not the end of your story—God is preparing something greater, even if you cannot see it yet.

The Psalms are filled with cries like yours, where David and others poured out their hearts to God in honesty. **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)** says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He has not abandoned you. In fact, these trials are shaping you, refining your faith, and drawing you closer to Him. **James 1:2-4 (WEB)** tells us, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* This does not mean your pain is insignificant, but rather that God is using it for a purpose—one that will bring you to a place of greater strength and dependence on Him.

We also want to gently remind you that true hope and healing are found only in Jesus Christ. If your question does not stem from a place of faith in Him, we urge you to consider that apart from Christ, there is no lasting peace or eternal hope. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only through Him that we can find the strength to endure and the promise of a future where *"he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away"* (**Revelation 21:4, WEB**).

If you are feeling hopeless, we encourage you to cry out to Jesus. He is the only one who can carry your burdens and give you rest. **Matthew 11:28 (WEB)** says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Lay your struggles at His feet and trust that He is working, even when you cannot see the way forward.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cry. Lord, in the midst of their waiting and weariness, we ask that You would draw near to them in a tangible way. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and remind them that You are their strength and their portion, even in the valley. Help them to trust in Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

If this person does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You would open their eyes to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. Soften their heart to receive Your love and salvation, that they may find true rest in You. Surround them with Your presence and let them feel the comfort of Your Spirit. Renew their hope, Lord, and help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and finisher of their faith.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan has no place here—this is Your child, and You have a plan for their life. Fill them with Your joy and the assurance that better days are coming, not just in this life, but for all eternity with You. Strengthen them to endure, and let them see glimpses of Your goodness even now.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who brings beauty from ashes, and who turns mourning into dancing. We trust You with this situation and ask for Your perfect will to be done. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, friend. We've been where you are, feeling like things won't get better, like the waiting is too much. But remember, even in the darkest times, God is with you. He sees you, He hears you, and He cares. It's like He's saying, "I'm right here, I've got you. I know it's hard, but trust me, I'm working things out for your good."

You know, it's like when you're in a thick fog, you can't see where you're going, but you keep walking because you trust the path. God is like that path, always leading you, even when you can't see it clearly.

We want you to know, it's okay to feel weary, to feel like giving up. But don't. Keep holding on. God is using this time to shape you, to make you stronger, to draw you closer to Him. It's not easy, but it's worth it.

And hey, if you're not sure about all this, if you're not sure about Jesus, we want to invite you to get to know Him. He's the only one who can truly give you peace, the kind that passes all understanding. He's the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.

Let's pray for you right now:

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift this dear one up to You. Lord, we know You see them, You hear them. Draw near to them, fill them with Your peace. Help them to trust in Your timing, to know that You're working everything out for their good. If they don't know You yet, Lord, open their eyes to the hope found only in Jesus. Surround them with Your presence, let them feel Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
