Beloved of All
I am praying in Jesus name to find a job soon, I refocused my attention on a job search a few days ago, but I haven't been able to find anything yet. Ive posted before about an arrears situation due to having to resign from my job, I"m not lazy person but I do not believe in staying in a place where a group of people choose to sabotage, publicly humiliate and do other things to prevent employees from getting their work done. I stayed for a long time in order to pay my rent/bills and put food on the table. However after over 20 years of service, my soul was being crushed daily. Father this decision to leave was not easy, I don't take it lightly, but after trying to resolve the situation with the perpetrators it got worse. Filing a written complaint made matters worse, it was a professional statement but the behavior worsened to the point that I had no other choice but to leave without another offer. Other things went on in that place that i cannot type here due to the egregious and unscrupulous nature of events. I am also being overcharged rent and find it impossible to get legal assistance at least for someone to review my documents and advise about next steps. So it's overwhelming. I ask in Jesus name for strength because all of this has taken a very heavy toll on my health.

We hear your heart and we stand with you in this very heavy and overwhelming season, and we thank you for praying in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find our hope and salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We do not see you as lazy at all. We see someone who labored faithfully for over twenty years, who endured much for the sake of providing for your needs, and who made a difficult and painful decision to protect your soul and your health when the workplace became a place of sabotage and public humiliation. The Lord sees what was done to you, even the egregious things you cannot write here, and He is a God of justice. Romans 12:19 reminds us, Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We trust that He saw every injustice and He will deal with it in His perfect way and timing, while He also calls us to rest in Him and not be consumed by bitterness.

We understand the weight of what is next, the arrears, the rent that you believe is overcharged, the inability to find legal help to review your documents, the pressure of the job search that has only just begun again, and the toll all of this has taken on your health. God is not distant from any of this. Psalm 46:1 tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. And Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking Him first in this search. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. As you look for work, do so heartily as unto the Lord, trusting He has a place prepared where your gifts can be used with dignity. Colossians 3:23 says And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. We also encourage you to continue to seek wisdom for the rent and legal matter. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Keep asking, keep knocking, keep documenting everything, and keep reaching out to local legal aid societies, tenant advocacy groups, and perhaps a trusted pastor or Christian legal ministry who may review documents at low or no cost. God can open a door for counsel when we least expect it.

For your health and your spirit, we pray you will be able to cast every anxiety on Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear brother or sister to You. Lord, You know the pain of over twenty years of labor followed by sabotage and humiliation, You know the crushing of the soul that led to this resignation, and You know the financial arrears and the fear about rent and provision. We ask You to be their provider. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and we claim that promise now. Open the right door for employment soon, a job that honors You, where their work is respected and where they can provide for their needs with peace and dignity.

Lord, we ask for wisdom and favor regarding the rent overcharge and the need for legal review. Send the right person to help, someone honest who will advise on next steps. We ask for healing and strength for their body and mind, for restoration of sleep, peace, and health that has been so heavily affected. Renew their strength daily. Guide every application and every interview, and let Your will be done. We ask that You guard their heart from discouragement and remind them that You are their refuge and that You will make their paths straight as they trust in You. We pray all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to stay diligent in the job search each day, to keep bringing every burden to the Lord in prayer, and to rest in His promise that He will not forsake you. He who has sustained you for so long is still with you in what is next.

We hear how heavy this season has been for you. To give more than twenty years of faithful work, to stay as long as you could to pay rent and put food on the table while enduring sabotage and public humiliation, and then to make the painful choice to leave without another offer because your soul was being crushed daily, that is not laziness. It was a costly decision and it makes sense that the aftermath feels overwhelming, with arrears, a rent dispute, and the strain on your health all pressing at once.

When job loss, housing pressure and financial strain pile up together, each one makes the others harder to carry. We are glad you reached out and we are praying with you for strength and clear next steps.

One place to start may be getting a brief review of your rent documents. If you have not already, you might contact your local legal aid office, a law school clinic, or your city or county tenant help center. Many offer a free short consultation to look at a lease and explain options. Your church office may also know of volunteer attorneys or community agencies that help with housing questions.

For the job search, a local workforce center or employment agency can sometimes surface openings quickly and offer resume help, and letting a trusted pastor, mentor or former colleague know you are actively looking can open doors you would not see online.

Since you mentioned this has taken a toll on your health, please also reach out to your primary care provider or clinic alongside prayer so someone can check on you in person.

Father, we lift this dear one to You in Jesus' name. You see the need for work, for a fair resolution on housing, for bills to be met, and for body and spirit to find rest. Give wisdom for each next step, open a door for provision, and surround them with caring, practical support in the days ahead. Sustain them with Your peace and strength. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and heard with deep compassion, and the heaviness of what you have carried is not hidden from Him. To labor faithfully for over twenty years, to endure sabotage and public humiliation, to seek a right and peaceable remedy by a professional complaint only to see the evil increase, and then to be brought to the painful necessity of leaving without another place to go, this is a sore burden. It is not laziness to have done so, but the cry of a soul that was being crushed daily while trying to provide for rent and bread. The Lord knows the arrears that press upon you, the overcharge of rent that feels impossible to contest without help, the weariness of a job search newly refocused yet still without answer, and the toll all this has taken upon your health.

Scripture says, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Human strength, even when it has the force of long endurance as yours has shown, will spend itself in due time. Apart from God it is measurable and must come to an end. But the strength of God is inexhaustible, and He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength. You have come to that place where your own strength fails, and that is the very place where His promise is most sure, I will strengthen them in the Lord. To wait upon Him is not to sit idle, but to look to Him in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, to pour out your heart in prayer, to trust His Word, and to expect His help morning by morning.

Think also of Job, of whom it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He knew what it was to be stripped and misunderstood and to have his integrity assailed, yet God sustained him and at the last vindicated him. The Lord saw every act done in secret, every humiliation and every unscrupulous dealing that you cannot even write, and He who revealed Himself to Job will reveal His faithful care to you. He is both your arm every morning and your salvation in the time of trouble. There is one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored, and there is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and by faith that healing virtue keeps the soul in health and will at last make the body whole. Your sickness and weariness are known to Him who heals and pardons.

We bear one another's burdens as we are able, though every man must also bear his own burden before God. Your burden of daily need, of seeking work, of contending for what is just in your housing, and of recovering health, you need not carry alone in spirit, for Christ first bore the burden of sin for His people and now bids you cast your care upon Him. When Christ is with you, the burden ceases to be crushing, for He strengthens you with all strength in your inner man.

Let us pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and access to the Father.

Our Father in heaven, we lift this your child to you in the name of Jesus. You see the long years of faithful labor, the wrong suffered, the necessity of departure, and the present want. Grant renewed strength to one who has no might left, even as you have promised. Open a door for honest and fitting work soon, work in which gifts may be used without fear of sabotage, and provide daily bread and the means to meet rent and bills. Make a way where legal help seems impossible, bring forth a counselor or advocate who can review these documents and advise on next steps concerning this overcharge, and let justice be done. Touch the body and mind worn down by this trial, and grant healing and rest. Keep this heart from despair and teach it to wait upon you, to go from strength to strength until faith becomes full assurance. This we ask in the saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Take courage and continue to wait upon the Lord. Continue diligently in the search, set apart time each day for prayer and the Word where strength is renewed, seek out any Christian legal aid or local aid society that may review papers without charge, and let the church bear with you in prayer. He who has kept you through twenty years will not forsake you now. Go in the strength of God, for the burden, though heavy, need not be carried long without His help, and His yoke is easy and His burden is light to those who learn of Him.
