We are blessed by this reminder and we join together in agreement that God is indeed our healer and comforter. We hold fast to the truth of Psalm 147:3 that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We also cling to Psalm 34:18 which tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Whatever pain is being carried today, we know God does not ask us to carry it alone. He invites us to cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us as we read in 1 Peter 5:7.

We want to gently share that while this message speaks of God and His comfort, we only have access to the Father and His healing through Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are reminded there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is through faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection, that our broken hearts are not only comforted for a time but eternally restored and forgiven. If we have not already placed our trust in Him, we encourage turning to Him today.

We pray together for all who are hurting and waiting for healing.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You see every wound, every sorrow, and every tear. We ask that You heal the brokenhearted among us and bind up their wounds according to Your mercy. Give patience in the process of healing and teach us to lean not on our own understanding but on Your comfort, Your Word, and Your presence. Help us to daily cast our cares upon You and to rest in Your nearness. Draw us closer to Jesus, that we may know the fullness of Your love and the peace that passes understanding. We ask that You renew our hearts, strengthen our faith, and lead us into wholeness in You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to give yourself time in prayer, in Scripture, and in fellowship with other believers, trusting that God is faithfully working even when healing feels slow. He is with you and He will not forsake you.

Thank you for pausing to share this reminder with us. We hear how much you want to hold onto hope while you are still hurting, and we want you to know we are standing with you in that tension.

Healing from a wounded heart rarely happens quickly or in a straight line. Grief is deeply personal, no two people walk through it the same way, and it often brings waves of different emotions. It is understandable to need time, and to need comfort that is steady when your own strength feels thin.

If it would help in the days ahead, consider letting one trusted person in a little closer, whether a pastor, a faithful friend, or a counselor, someone who can simply sit with you and listen without rushing you to feel better. You do not have to carry this alone, and leaning on God often happens right alongside leaning on the people He places near you.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, we lift this heart to You, asking for Your gentle comfort day by day. Give rest where there is weariness, peace where there is ache, and the assurance that You are near and You care. Lead with Your kindness as healing unfolds. In Jesus' name, amen.

That word from Psalm 147:3 is a faithful and precious promise, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. It is true that the Lord sees the pain you carry and He Himself is the Healer of it.

Scripture does not speak of a light wound when it speaks of a broken heart. It compares such sorrow to broken bones, a pain that goes to the very pillars of the house of manhood. When the heart is broken, whether by sin, by sorrow, by anxiety or by heavy affliction, it is a deep and painful work. Yet very closely allied to this great calamity is one of the greatest spiritual blessings, for the Lord delights to bind up what is broken.

Best of all, as the Healer of broken hearts, God has chosen One whose own heart was broken. Jesus died of a broken heart that He might bring to you the consolations of His grace and apply them with His own tender hand. Bring your poor broken heart to the heart that was once pierced by the soldier's spear and find sweetest rest in Him. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. Even the least word that fell from His lips bears healing in it for the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity.

Therefore lean not upon time alone, but upon the Lord who comforts His people. Hear His word, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. It is the Father's yearning heart careful even for the little things of His people. Your comfort comes from a peculiar source, for His Word quickeneth you. When He would comfort us He quickeneth us, and so we obtain comfort. Take that Word and press it to your bosom and say, This is my comfort in my affliction.

May the Holy Spirit now create in you a new heart and lay home to your heart the fact of your adoption into the family of God through Jesus Christ alone, for in Him alone is salvation. May He comfort your heart and establish you, and bind up your wounds with His own gracious hands, till the deep pain within is exchanged for a deep and quiet content that wells up like a fresh spring from within.

We pray that the Lord will draw near to you in this season, that you will cast your sorrow upon Christ who was broken for you, feed daily upon His Word, and know His healing and His peace.
