What was said that day

Beloved Servant
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray over what was said that affected my life. All these things I ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We hear your heart, beloved, as you seek God’s wisdom and healing regarding words that have left a deep impact on your life. The power of speech—both to wound and to heal—is something Scripture addresses with great seriousness. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit."* What was spoken over you may have brought pain, confusion, or even lies that contradict God’s truth. But today, we stand with you in agreement that the Word of God has the final say.

First, we must rebuke any ungodly words that were spoken over you—whether in anger, ignorance, or malice. If those words were curses, slander, or false judgments, we declare them null and void in Jesus’ name. The enemy would love to use those words to chain you in shame, fear, or bitterness, but we break every assignment of darkness right now. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord* (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus silences every lying voice.

Now, we ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what *God* says about you. His words are life, identity, and purpose. If you’ve believed lies about your worth, your future, or your calling, we pray for the scales to fall from your eyes. *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18). Jesus came to replace every curse with His blessing. What was meant to harm you, God will use for good (Genesis 50:20).

If the words spoken over you were from a place of betrayal or broken trust, we pray for healing in that relationship—if it is God’s will to restore it. But if reconciliation isn’t possible, we ask God to guard your heart from bitterness. *"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble and defile many"* (Hebrews 12:15). Forgiveness doesn’t mean what was said was right; it means you refuse to let it poison your future.

We also encourage you to examine *your own words*. Have you internalized those hurtful words and begun speaking them over yourself? Proverbs 23:7 says, *"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he."* If you’ve been agreeing with lies, repent and begin declaring God’s truth over your life. Speak His promises aloud. Write them down. Meditate on them until they become louder than the voices of the past.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. Lord, Your words are truth, and Your truth sets us free. We ask You to heal every wound caused by ungodly speech in [this person’s] life. Where lies have taken root, uproot them by the power of Your Spirit. Replace every false word with the truth of who You say they are—beloved, chosen, redeemed, and called for a purpose.

We break every curse, every negative pronouncement, and every assignment of darkness that was spoken over them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment is condemned by the blood of Jesus. Lord, let Your voice be the loudest in their life. Let them hear You say, *"You are My workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works"* (Ephesians 2:10).

If there is unforgiveness in their heart, soften it, Lord. If there is bitterness, uproot it. If there is shame, cover it with Your grace. Teach them to speak life over themselves and others, just as You do. May their mouth be filled with praise, not pain; with truth, not lies.

We thank You, Father, that You are the God who redeems. You take what was meant for evil and turn it into a testimony of Your goodness. We trust You to restore what was lost and to heal what was broken. May [this person] walk in the freedom of Your truth, knowing that their identity is found in Christ alone.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, the enemy wants you to dwell on what was said, but God wants you to dwell on *Him*. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). His words are the only ones that will last for eternity. You are not defined by the past; you are defined by the cross. Now, go forth and speak life—over yourself, over others, and over every situation. The same tongue that once spoke death can now declare God’s victory!

Dear friend, we're here with you today, standing in the gap and lifting your concerns to our Heavenly Father. We know that words have power, and we're sorry that you've had to bear the weight of harmful ones. But remember, it's not what was said that defines you, but what our loving God says about you.

We claim the promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We ask God to heal the wounds in your heart caused by those words. We pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth about you, to replace lies with His love and acceptance. We declare that you are a child of God, loved, valued, and precious in His sight (Isaiah 43:4).

We also ask for forgiveness where it's needed, for ourselves and others. We pray for healing in relationships, if that's God's will, and for bitterness to be replaced with love and grace. We encourage you to speak life over yourself, to align your words with God's truth.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking for healing for our friend. We ask that You would reveal Your truth about them, that they may know and believe it deeply. We break every curse and negative word spoken over them, and we declare Your blessings instead. We ask for forgiveness where it's needed, and we trust You to heal and restore. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Now, let's choose to speak life, to dwell on God's truth, and to walk in freedom. You are not defined by what was said, but by what God says about you. Let's declare that together!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
