WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT TRIALS
By Bibleman
Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted. "SURELY HE HATH BORNE OUR GRIEFS, AND CARRIED OUR SORROWS (IS. 53:4)." Please give Jesus your burden and let Him carry it for you. It is the Lord's job to "heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds (Ps. 147:3)" This is one of the benefits of the cross. Remember the old gospel hymn "Give it all to Jesus and He will turn your sorrows into joy?" Its true! We dont have to carry our burdens when we can cast them upon Jesus (1 Pet. 5:7; Ps. 55:22). Let Jesus nail your brokenheartedness and hopelessness to the cross and let it be crucified! Amen! As you do this you have to guard against the devil who will seek to devour you in your time of trouble. You must stedfastly resist the devil and understand that all Christians suffer various afflictions and trials. This suffering we all go through has a divine purpose to perfect us, establish us, strengthen us and settle us (1 Pet. 5:8-10). Our attitude should be "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. (Job 13:15). The thing to remember is that "ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD (THIS MEANS ALL TRIALS, TROUBLES, AFFLICTIONS, SORROWS, HEARTACHES, HARDSHIPS, ETC) TO THOSE WHO LOVE GOD (ROM. 8:28)"
The Bible tells us to count it ALL JOY when you encounter various trials. It is our faith that is on trial and that has been put to the test (Jam. 1:2). When our faith is on trial and we are being tested by God we must NOT FAINT, GIVE UP, LOSE HOPE, QUIT, TAKE OUR OWN LIFE, ETC. (GAL. 6:9). It is time to trust in God and give our pain and our problems to Jesus. If we PERSEVERE in the midst of our trials until we overcome we receive THE CROWN OF LIFE (JAM. 1:12. We show God that we love Him when we turn to Him for help and when we perseve in what He desires for us to go through. When your trial gets the hottest remember that the 4th man is in the fire with you and will bring you through it without any harm (Dan. 3:25; Jn. 16:33). If you love God He will fight your battles for you. "THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS BUT GOD'S (2 CHRON. 20:15)." And I would ask you this "IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD? (GEN. 18:13-14)" If you are overwhelmed by your trial COME BOLDLY TO HIS THRONE OF GRACE AND OBTAIN MERCY AND RECEIVE THE GRACE YOU NEED TO COME OUT OF YOUR PIT OF DISPAIR AND HOPLESSNESS (HEB. 4:14,16)! "LIFT UP YOUR EYES FROM WHENCE COMETH YOUR HELP (PS. 121:1,2)." The Bible tells us that God considers all of our troubles (Ps. 31:7). Our job is to turn to Him with our problems and pour out our heart to Him and trust in Him (Ps. 62:8). It is the Lord who "GIVES POWER TO THE FAINT AND INCREASES THEIR STRENGTH (ISA. 40:29; Ps. 18:32; Eph. 3:16,17). Listen to what David said in the midst of his great trials "IN THE DAY WHEN I CRIED THOU ANSWERED ME, AND STRENGTHENED ME WITH STRENGHT IN MY SOUL (PS. 138:3). The Bible specifically tells us not to be dismayed when we are experiencing troubles and trials "FOR I AM THY GOD: I WILL STRENGTHEN THEE; YEA I WILL UPHOLD THEE WITH THE RIGHT HAND OF MY RIGHTEOUSNESS (ISA. 41:10)." The Lord is with each of us in our trials and troubles (Isa. 41:10; 43:2). It is up to us to lay hold on the hope that is set before us (Heb. 6:18). "BLESSED IS THE MAN THAT TRUSTETH IN THE LORD, AND WHOSE HOPE THE LORD IS (JER. 17:7)."
