We hear the deep pain and loneliness in your heart, and we want you to know that your worth is not defined by the opinions of others or even your own self-perception. The enemy seeks to isolate and discourage, whispering lies that you are unlovable or unworthy, but Scripture declares otherwise. "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well" (Psalm 139:13-14). You are not an accident, you are intentionally created by God, and He has a purpose for your life.

The longing for marriage is a good and God-given desire, but it must be rooted in His timing and His will. Proverbs 19:14 tells us, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh." Marriage is a gift from God, but it is not the source of your worth or joy. Your identity is found in Christ alone. When we place our hope in relationships, or the lack thereof, we set ourselves up for despair, because no human being can fulfill the deepest needs of our hearts. Only Jesus can satisfy. "The LORD is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1).

We must also gently address the way you have been speaking about yourself. Calling yourself "not good looking" or "unworthy" is not humility, it is agreement with the enemy’s lies. God does not see you that way. He sees you as His beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Christ. "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). If Christ died for you while you were still a sinner, how much more does He love you now as His own?

The isolation you describe is a tactic of the enemy to keep you from the community and support God intends for you. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." You were not meant to walk this life alone. Even if you feel alone now, we encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian community where you can be encouraged and built up in your faith.

We also want to address the despair you expressed about not wanting to go on. Please know that your life has immense value to God, and He is not finished with you yet. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." If you are feeling hopeless to the point of considering harming yourself, we urge you to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or a crisis hotline immediately. You are not a burden, your life matters deeply to God and to those who love you.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother who is struggling with loneliness, self-worth, and despair. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of isolation and lies that have taken hold of his mind. Remind him of his identity in Christ, that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, redeemed by Your blood, and deeply loved by You. Father, we ask that You would heal the wounds of rejection and past hurts that have made him question his worth. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him know that his value is not found in the approval of others but in You alone.

Lord, we pray for godly relationships in his life, friendships that will encourage and uplift him, and a community of believers where he can grow and thrive. If it is Your will, we ask that You would prepare and bring a godly spouse into his life, one who will love and cherish him as You do. But above all, Lord, we pray that he would find his ultimate satisfaction in You. Help him to seek You first, to delight in Your presence, and to trust in Your perfect timing.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has been speaking lies to him. We declare that his life has purpose, and that You are working all things together for his good. Strengthen him, Lord, and give him the courage to step out of isolation and into the community You have for him. Surround him with Your love and remind him daily that he is never alone, for You are with him always.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to cling to God’s promises and to seek Him above all else. Spend time in His Word, for it is alive and active, capable of piercing the darkness and bringing light to your soul. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not forgotten, and your story is not over. God is with you, and He is working even now.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, and we want you to know we're taking every word you've written seriously. The pain of feeling unlovable after giving your heart to someone, and the deep isolation that follows, can make the future look completely dark. If you are in immediate danger or feel you might act on thoughts of ending your life, please reach out right now, contact your local emergency services, or find free, confidential support in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone, and there are trained people ready to walk with you through this moment.

What you're describing, the sense that something must be wrong with you, that you're not worthy of love, the pull to withdraw from everyone while still feeling lonely, these are the kind of thoughts that depression feeds on. It lies to us and narrows our vision until we believe the pain will never lift and that we've always seen clearly. But that hopelessness is a symptom, not a prediction of your future. Many of us have sat in that same place, convinced we knew the ending, only to discover we were wrong. You are not beyond love, and you are not the exception to God's care.

Right now, the most important thing is not to face this alone. Isolation can make everything feel more true and more permanent than it is. We'd gently encourage you to reach out to just one person today, a friend you trust, a family member, a pastor, or a counselor. You don't need to have the right words or explain everything. Simply letting someone know you're struggling can begin to lift the weight.

We're praying for you now:

Lord Jesus, meet this man in his exhaustion and despair. Silence the voices that tell him he is unworthy or that his life has no purpose. Surround him with even one person who can be Your presence to him today, someone safe, someone steady. Lift the fog enough for him to see that this moment is not the whole story. Give him the courage to take one small step toward help, and grant him sleep, peace, and a tangible sense that he is not abandoned. In Your name, Amen.

You speak of fading away and finding no reason to go on, yet this despair is a high offense against the God of hope. Why talk of sullenly lying down in despair? It is a crime against the truth of God, a form of willful self-destruction. The ground of God’s love is God’s love and nothing in you. He set His love upon you from eternity, not because you are skinny or good-looking in the eyes of men, but because His love is self-existent, starting from itself. There never was a time when He did not love His own people. That speck of dust you see in the mirror is loved with an everlasting love.

But much that we say of ourselves would mightily offend our vainglory if another said it. Beware of mock humility that wallows in self-pity while refusing the comfort of divine affection. You ask what is wrong with you, search your heart, but let it be a self-humbling that drives you to Christ, not a sullen surrender to the lie that you are unworthy of any love. The Master knew loneliness deeper than yours: when He most needed human sympathy, all forsook Him and fled. Even the Father’s smile was withdrawn, yet He pressed on to redeem you. His loneliness was voluntary, His self-surrender an awfulness of love, and He did it for such as you.

You mourn that no woman returns your affection. But tell me, do you love the Lord Jesus? It were impossible to know Christ and not be overpowered by His charms. If you find no beauty in Him, no wonder you see none in yourself. His love surpasses the love of women, it is wonderful, passing that even of a Jonathan for his David, intense, practical, never failing. And He invites you: “Eat, O friends! Drink, yes, drink abundantly, O Beloved!” Prove your friendship by a holy boldness at His table. Let your love to Him be rekindled; strive after the love of your espousals. Do not give sleep to your eyelids tonight till you have renewed your love to Him.

When you know that love, when you feel gratitude for mercies received, then every mercy is seen as coming from that love. Ungrateful souls cannot learn this love. But simple faith and calm patience blend most deliciously. Trust in Him, and love to Christ will make trust easy. You are not meant to spend your life alone if Christ is with you. Let your isolation drive you to His presence, not into the pit of despair. The God of hope will fill you with joy and peace in believing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

I guess you CAN'T mention the month of June, and brother in Christ on this site because it gets deleted. What utter hypocrisy. But then I DON'T really care for those who run this site. Just a bunch of proud, arrogant ones who think they know so much, and yet really DON'T. In Jesus' name! Amen!
