What is solitude?

Solitude is talking to God all alone with Him. Just as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemani.

I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses...
And the voice I hear falling on my ear, the Son of God discloses...
And He walks with me and He talks with me.
And He tells me I am His own.
And he joy we share, as we tarry there.
None other has ever known.

In solitude there is healing, blessings and mercy. Speak to your heavenly Father, Listen carefully to His voice.
Sometimes in the absence of noise we find the answers to all our problems.

I agree. The problem, as I put in one of my blogs, is that with this craziness nowadays—screaming babies, barking dogs, blaring car horns, loud car stereos, chatterboxes bending my ears at bad times, my cell phone bombing off, it IS harder nowadays than in Bible times, when someone could just walk out into a field. With the world being so overpopulated these days, it's getting harder to find a place to be alone. Sooner or later someone will "sniff you out." I agree with you about solitude, just saying nowadays it's harder to find than in the past.

Just the other day, I walked down the street and went to a small park. It was very awesome and quiet. And, it just happens to be behind a church as well. These are the places that mean the most to me. A good place to spend quality quiet time.

Seek the Lord while He can be found... says the Lord. Even when our life is busy and we cannot find time to pray, find a place where you can speak to your heavenly Father who loves you with an everlasting love.

If Jesus did it, we can do it. Find time to speak to your heavenly Father who loves you unconditionally. In His presence there is fullness of joy. I found this to be true. Hallelujah, praise the Lord.
