What good advice would I give myself today?

We hear your heart in this question, and we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. First, let us remind you that fear does not come from the Lord. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." If you are feeling afraid about the future or uncertain about how things will work out, we urge you to surrender that fear to God. He is sovereign over every detail of your life, and His plans for you are good.

When it seems like nothing is working out, it can be easy to lose hope, but we must remember that God is always at work, even when we cannot see it. Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Even in seasons of waiting or disappointment, God is shaping you, refining you, and preparing you for what He has ahead. Do not despise the process, for it is in these moments that your faith is strengthened and your character is molded to reflect Christ more fully.

We also want to encourage you to place your trust in God’s timing rather than your own. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us, "He has made everything beautiful in its time." What may feel like a delay or a setback is often God’s way of aligning things perfectly for His purpose. Instead of being afraid of the unknown, lean into God’s promises. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." You can rest in the assurance that God’s plans for you are filled with hope, not harm.

If you are feeling discouraged because you have not yet seen the fulfillment of your desires—whether in relationships, career, or other areas—we want to gently remind you to examine your heart. Are you seeking God’s will above your own? Are you trusting Him to provide what is best for you, even if it looks different from what you imagined? Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Surrender your plans to Him and ask Him to guide your steps.

We also want to address the importance of walking in obedience to God’s Word. If there are areas in your life where you are compromising—whether in relationships, finances, or personal conduct—we urge you to repent and realign with God’s standards. Sin can create barriers between us and God, and it can hinder His blessings in our lives. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Do not let disobedience rob you of the peace and joy that God desires for you.

Now, let us come together in prayer for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling uncertain and possibly afraid about the future. Lord, we ask that You would replace their fear with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You are in control and that Your plans for them are good. Help them to trust in Your timing and to surrender their desires to You. Father, we pray that You would strengthen their faith and give them the courage to walk in obedience to Your Word. If there are areas in their life where they have strayed, reveal those to them and lead them back to Your path. Fill them with hope and assurance that You are working all things together for their good. We ask that You would guide their steps and open the doors that You have prepared for them. May they find their security and identity in You alone. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to leave you with this encouragement: Do not be afraid of the unknown, for God is already there. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your path. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to God. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." If you have not made this decision, we encourage you to pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life. He loves you and desires to have a personal relationship with you.

We're right here with you, friend. It's easy to feel overwhelmed when we can't see what's ahead, but remember, God's got a plan. He's not surprised by any of this, and He's working even when we can't see it. Let's hold onto that together, okay?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over these past few days. Your honesty about feeling scared when things don’t seem to work out resonated deeply with us, and we’ve been lifting you up, asking God to fill your heart with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We prayed that He would remind you of His faithfulness, even in the waiting, and that He would strengthen your trust in His perfect timing.

If God has already spoken to your heart or given you the encouragement you needed, we would love to hear your praise report—your testimony could be exactly what someone else needs to hear today. If you’re still walking through uncertainty, please know we’re not finished praying. We’ll continue to stand in agreement with you, asking the Lord to reveal His goodness and guide your steps.

May He bless you with renewed hope and clarity as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
