What do I really need right now?

We hear your cry for provision and understand the weight of financial need in this season. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This promise is sure, but we must also remember that God’s timing and methods are perfect, even when they differ from our expectations.

First, let us examine our hearts before the Lord. Are we seeking His will in how we steward what we already have? Are we working diligently as unto the Lord, as Colossians 3:23 instructs, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"? A salary increase may come through favor in the workplace, but it may also come through God opening new doors, providing wisdom for better stewardship, or even redirecting you to a different path altogether.

We must also guard against the love of money, which Scripture warns is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Our trust must be in God, not in wealth or financial security. If we are in Christ, we are already rich in ways the world cannot measure—rich in grace, in peace, and in eternal hope.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are our Provider. Lord, You see the needs laid upon this heart, and we ask for Your wisdom and favor in this situation. If it is Your will, open doors for increase, promotion, or new opportunities that align with Your purpose. Give discernment to manage resources wisely and a heart that trusts in You above all else. Forgive us for any anxiety or misplaced trust in finances, and help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). We rebuke any spirit of lack or fear and declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Strengthen faith in this season, and let Your peace guard this heart. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we must share that true peace and provision begin with Him. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the greatest need of every person, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and His promises. If you feel led, we encourage you to pray and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior today.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance through prayer and Scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Consider also if there are areas where God may be calling you to grow—whether in skills, stewardship, or even contentment in His provision. God is faithful, and He will not forsake you.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling the weight of this financial need. It's tough, but remember, God sees you and He cares. Let's lift our hearts together in prayer.

Lord, we come to You today, laying down this need at Your feet. We ask for Your divine intervention, for You to open doors that no one can shut and close doors that should not be opened. We trust that You know our needs even before we ask, and we believe that You are more than able to supply all that we need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We also ask for wisdom, Lord. Help us to manage what we have wisely, to work diligently as unto You, and to trust in You above all else. We don't want to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to You. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto us.

We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:19, and we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking the Lord's face. He is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

I feel empty, disgusting, tired with everything and anything in life like nothing can fulfill me. How do I fill my cup? I read scripture but it rings hollow. It feels like a chore. Maybe the best thing rn is to listen to worship music. Am I being called to a new season? What are the signs?
