They say (and Christians believe) there's no such thing as luck; however, things that (continuously) happen to me seem to challenge that. Someone tries something (sometimes "little" things, sometimes bigger things), it goes either smoothly or here and there they may come up against the circumstances. Me, quite continuously and for quite some time, obstacles and problems "pop up" to thwart and frustrate me. Wondering if this is just "bad luck" or a Satanic attack, since these things are "stepped up" as I move more towards God's ways, and the people with a smoother time of it are usually immoral sinful people. Request is for knowledge of what's actually happening here.

What you are describing is not a matter of "luck," for as the Scriptures make clear, luck is not a biblical concept—it is a worldly idea that attributes outcomes to chance rather than to the sovereignty of God or the spiritual forces at work. The Lord declares in **Proverbs 16:33 (WEB)**, *"The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from Yahweh."* Nothing happens outside of His knowledge or permission, and what may seem like random frustration is often part of a deeper spiritual reality.

What you are experiencing aligns far more with the patterns of spiritual warfare than with mere coincidence. **Ephesians 6:12 (WEB)** reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* When you draw nearer to God and seek to walk in obedience, the enemy—who is already defeated but still seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10)—will intensify his attacks. This is not because you are weak, but because you are a threat to his kingdom. The fact that those who live in rebellion against God often seem to prosper should not confuse you; **Psalm 73:3 (WEB)** acknowledges this struggle: *"For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked."* Yet the psalmist goes on to realize their end is destruction (Psalm 73:17-19). Their "smooth" path is temporary and deceptive, while your struggles—though painful—are being used by God to refine you, strengthen your faith, and prepare you for greater purposes (James 1:2-4).

Consider also **Job’s story**. He was a righteous man whom Satan was permitted to test, not because Job was sinful, but because his faithfulness made him a target. Similarly, **1 Peter 5:8 (WEB)** warns, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* His goal is to discourage you, to make you question God’s goodness, and to turn you away from the path of righteousness. But take heart: **James 4:7 (WEB)** promises, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Your resistance is not passive—it requires active faith, prayer, and reliance on God’s Word.

We also urge you to examine whether there are areas of unconfessed sin or disobedience in your life that could be giving the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Even small compromises can open doors to spiritual opposition. Repentance and surrender to God’s will close those doors and invite His protection and blessing.

Let us pray for you in this battle:

Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child before You, who is experiencing relentless opposition and frustration in their walk with You. Lord, we ask for discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and the wisdom to stand firm in Your truth. Reveal any area of sin or unbelief that may be giving Satan a foothold, and grant the strength to repent and walk in full surrender to You.

We rebuke every plan of the enemy to discourage, distract, or derail this beloved one. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every spiritual force of darkness assigned against them to be bound and rendered powerless. Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, and let Your favor surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12).

Fill them with the peace that surpasses understanding and the joy of knowing that their struggles are not in vain. Remind them that You are sovereign over every obstacle, and that what the enemy means for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). Strengthen their faith to trust You even when the path is difficult, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf.

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that they will emerge from this season victorious, refined, and closer to You than ever before. May they walk in the confidence that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The fact that you are facing opposition is evidence that you are on the right path. The enemy does not waste his efforts on those who are not a threat to his kingdom. Keep your eyes on Jesus, cling to His promises, and remember that your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). The battles you face today are preparing you for the victories God has in store for you tomorrow. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you *will* reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share some more thoughts with you. It's like you're in a tough season, huh? It's easy to feel frustrated when obstacles keep popping up, especially when it seems like others are having it easier. But remember, God doesn't see things the way the world does. He's not surprised by any of this, and He's right there with you, working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We've been reminded of the story of Joseph. He faced one trial after another, but God was with him every step of the way. In the end, Joseph could look back and see how every obstacle, every setback, was part of God's plan to save many lives and elevate Joseph to a position of great influence (Genesis 50:20). We believe the same is true for you. God has a purpose in these challenges, and He's using them to shape you and prepare you for what's ahead.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face. Draw near to Him, and He'll draw near to you (James 4:8). Spend time in prayer, worship, and reading His Word. The more intimate your relationship with Him, the more you'll understand His heart and His purposes for your life.

And hey, it's okay to not have all the answers right now. Trust that God knows what He's doing, even when it doesn't make sense to you. He's got a plan, and it's a good one (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep taking one step at a time, and let Him guide your path.

We're praying for you, brother/sister. We're believing for God's favor, protection, and wisdom to be upon you. We declare that every obstacle will be turned into a stepping stone, and that you'll come out of this season stronger and more confident in God's love for you.

Keep your chin up, and remember, you're not alone. God's got you, and so do we. Let's keep fighting the good fight together, one day at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift your heart before the Lord in prayer these past few days. Your honest wrestling with the persistent trials you face has stirred our own spirits to seek God’s wisdom and discernment on your behalf. It’s clear these struggles weigh heavily on you, and we are grateful you’ve trusted us to stand with you in agreement before the Throne of Grace.

As we’ve prayed, we’ve been reminded of how the enemy often intensifies his schemes when a child of God draws nearer to the Father—just as you’ve observed. Yet we also know our Heavenly Father uses every trial to refine us, to draw us deeper into dependence on Him, and to reveal His power in our weakness. Your question about whether this is "bad luck" or spiritual opposition resonates with the apostle Paul’s words in Ephesians 6:12, reminding us our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. Still, we serve a God who is sovereign over all things, even what the enemy intends for harm.

If the Lord has granted you clarity or breakthrough in these days, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can glorify God together for His faithfulness. If the burden remains heavy and the questions persist, we urge you to post this request anew. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, asking the Lord to expose any schemes of the enemy, to strengthen your faith in the waiting, and to reveal His purpose in this season. May He open your eyes to see these obstacles through His perspective—whether as refinement, as spiritual warfare, or as an invitation to trust Him in deeper ways.

We are praying specifically for the Holy Spirit to flood you with His peace, which surpasses understanding, and to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He remind you that your worth and security are not found in the absence of trials but in the unshakable love of your Heavenly Father. Keep seeking Him, beloved. He is faithful, and He will answer.

In Jesus Name.
