When asking a Christian who our worst enemy is, we'd all agree,"The devil, of course".But actually, the devil doesn't really FORCE us to do something, so I'll say it's ...ourselves!!We seem to have self destructive tendencies.Right from the beginning, Adam and Eve.The devil couldn't FORCE Eve , with her knowledge of Gods instructions, to eat the fruit. She came to the conclusion on her own to believe the devil over God.And when she told Adam, he made the decision on his own to believe her over Gods instructions. The devil comes to us, but he can't win unless we give him the keys. But people, both saved and unsaved, seem to have this self destructive tendency in them.I see some who profess Christianity vote for a party that pushes gay "marriage" and abortion .{then if their choice gets in, they pass laws that punish the Christians who don't go along with it}.So you could say some "Christians" are handing others over to persecution. This party also always sides with the radical Moslem causes against the Jews in Israel, and we know the Biblical view on that.Yet the American Jews always back this party, bringing more problems on themselves!!Like I say, we're our own worst enemies.I can't just blame it on the Fall, because Adam and Eve sabatoged themselves BEFORE the Fall.I guess this applies to angels, too, because the the devil chose to believe his own thoughts over God.And the other angels weren't "forced' to rebel. they CHOSE to believe the devil over God.Like, I've made dumb mistakes that kept me down in life, but the difference, later on I realize it,and if I get another chance,I try not to repeat it.And no, Flip Wilson, the devil didn't "make you do it", you gave him the keys.
