Wedding Anniversary

Today is my anniversary but instead of being a day to celebrate, it is a day filled with sadness. My wife left me four months ago. So far today she won't even talk to me. I love her and my family so much. I have tried so hard since she left to show her how much she means to me. I just want to see her and hold her in my arms. I pray that God softens her heart today so that we could at least look back and be grateful for our time together.

God makes no secret of his real self; he reveals himself fully to us as the one with the heart of love. His love is so pure, full, rich and complete that sometimes it just does not compute with us. We have heard so many times the scripture in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son..." that it no longer penetrates the deep places in our own heart.
