Beloved Warrior
WE ALL, WITH UNVEILED FACE, BEHOLDING AS IN A MIRROR
THE GLORY OF THE LORD, ARE BEING TRANSFORMED.
2 CORINTHIANS 3:18
THE PRIMARY REASON FOR LIVING IN THIS WORLD
IS TO REFLECT THE LIKENESS OF CHRIST.
Interesting statement with a couple of applications.
Before Christ came in the flesh the Bible states no man can see God and live.
We find Moses asking to see God's glory and God's response was this:
"You cannot see My face and live; for no man can see me and live. And the Lord said, here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it will be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand as I pass by. Then I shall take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen."
__Exodus 33:23
Phillip asks the similar question of Christ in John 14:8:
"Lord, show us the Father, and it will suffice us."
And now, as to His importance and deity Jesus answers:
"Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know Me Phillip?
He who has seen Me has seen the Father."
__John 14:8-9"
The point is that Jesus is God the Son with the Holy Spirit being the third Person of the trinity. You cannot believe in Jesus without believing in the other two Persons. They are all three in One. Both Moses and Phillip's questions are good ones.
Know Jesus and you know the Father. Believe Jesus saves you and the other Two will show their glory to you because the three in one God loves you in all three of His persons.
