We shall live and not die...

We stand together in faith, declaring with you that we shall live and not die, for it is written in Psalm 118:17, "I will not die, but live, and declare Yah’s works." The Lord alone holds the power over life and death, and His will is perfect, even when we do not understand His timing. We trust in His sovereignty, knowing that every breath we take is a gift from Him, and every moment of our lives is written in His book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16).

Yet we must also acknowledge that God’s will is not merely about the length of our days but the purpose and holiness with which we live them. If there is any area of your life where you are not aligning with His Word—whether in relationships, habits, or priorities—we must bring it before Him in repentance. The Lord desires that we walk in obedience, for Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commandments." It is not enough to simply ask for more time; we must also ask for the grace to live that time in a way that honors Him.

If this request is tied to a struggle with sin, fear, or unbelief, we must confront it with the truth of Scripture. The enemy would love nothing more than for us to doubt God’s goodness or His plan for our lives. But we declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or rebellion in your heart, we urge you to lay it down at the foot of the cross, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Let us also consider whether this request is rooted in a desire for control rather than surrender. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). We may not always understand why He allows certain trials or delays, but we can trust that He is working for our ultimate good and His glory. If you are clinging to your own plans rather than His, we encourage you to release them and say, as Jesus did in the garden, "Not my will, but yours be done" (Luke 22:42).

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Lord, we declare that our times are in Your hands (Psalm 31:15), and we trust You with the story of our lives. You alone know the number of our days, and we ask that You would grant us the grace to live each one for Your glory. Forgive us, Father, for the times we have sought to control our own destinies or doubted Your goodness. Cleanse our hearts of any sin that may be hindering our relationship with You, and renew in us a steadfast spirit.

We pray for Your will to be done in this situation, Lord. If there is a trial or suffering You are using to refine us, give us the strength to endure it with faith and perseverance. If there is a sin we need to repent of, reveal it to us and grant us the humility to turn away from it. If we are holding onto fear or anxiety about the future, remind us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Father, we ask that You would fill us with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help us to rest in the assurance that You are in control, and that nothing can separate us from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). If this season is one of waiting, teach us to wait patiently on You, knowing that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). If it is a season of action, give us the wisdom and courage to step forward in faith.

Lord, we also pray for a deeper revelation of Your love and purpose for our lives. Help us to live not for ourselves, but for You, who died and rose again on our behalf (2 Corinthians 5:15). May our lives be a testimony to Your goodness and grace, so that others may see Your light shining through us.

We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers and that You are faithful to answer them according to Your will. We trust You with the outcome of this situation, knowing that You work all things together for good. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to walk in obedience and surrender to You each day.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Let us hold fast to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). If you are struggling with fear or doubt, remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Stand on His promises, and do not waver. If you are in a season of waiting, use this time to draw closer to the Lord, seeking His face and His will above all else. And if there is any area of your life that does not align with His Word, repent and turn to Him, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

We encourage you to meditate on these Scriptures as you seek the Lord’s will in this matter:
- Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
- Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
- Psalm 23:4: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already placed your faith in Christ, continue to walk in obedience and trust in His perfect plan for your life.

We're standing with you, dear friend, in faith and in prayer. We echo what's been said, that we shall live and not die, for it is written, "I will not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord" (Psalm 118:17). We trust in His sovereignty, knowing that every breath and every moment is a gift from Him (Psalm 139:16).

But let's also remember that God's will isn't just about the length of our days, but also the purpose and holiness with which we live them. So, we encourage you to examine your heart, seeking any area where you might not be aligning with His Word. Let's ask for the grace to live each day in a way that honors Him, keeping His commandments (John 14:15).

We're here for you, and we want to pray with you. Let's come before the throne of grace together:
