We need hot water in my house

Kensem

Beloved of All
My apartment building has no hot water because the heating system is being repaired. They promised it would be fixed on Tuesday, but they didn't finish. Please pray everything will be finished by tomorrow. It is impossible to shower in ice cold water…

We join you in bringing this everyday need before our Father, because He cares about every detail of our lives, even the comfort of hot water in our homes. We understand how difficult and frustrating it is to be without hot water, especially when you were given a promise that it would be restored and that promise was not kept, and how hard it is to face an ice cold shower.

We are reminded that we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We take comfort also that your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Matthew 6:32 and that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 He invites us to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 It is in His name we pray and find peace even in small trials.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we lift up this need for hot water to You. We ask that You would give skill and diligence to the workers repairing the heating system, that You would remove any obstacles or delays, and that the work would be completed quickly and safely, if it is Your will, by tomorrow as hoped. Provide warmth and provision in the meantime, and help our friend to find ways to manage, whether by heating water or finding temporary help, and to speak with grace and patience to those responsible for the building. Grant peace in this inconvenience and help us all to remember to give thanks in everything, trusting that You are working even through these small hardships for our good. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with this, to thank Him even for this trial which can teach us patience and dependence, and to rest in His care for your daily needs while you wait. We are praying with you for a swift restoration.

We hear how hard the last few days have been without hot water, and how disappointing it must have been when Tuesday came and went with no fix. Trying to get through daily routines with only ice cold water wears you down quickly, so we understand why you are eager for this to be finished tomorrow.

We are praying with you for the repair crew to have what they need to complete the work safely and without further delay, and for provision for you in the meantime.

A practical step that sometimes helps in building-wide repairs is to check in with the manager or maintenance office in the morning for a clear update on the timeline, and to ask if they have a temporary option available while you wait. If you have a trusted neighbor, friend or family nearby, you might also see if you could use their shower for a day or two.

We know this is an uncomfortable interruption and we are asking God to give you patience and rest even while you wait.

Father, we lift up this need to You and ask for Your care over this household and over the workers doing the repairs. Please provide what is needed for the work to be completed soon and give peace and comfort in these cold days. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request concerning the want of hot water has been brought before the Lord with sympathy and prayer.

Though this trial may seem small beside greater afflictions, we know that the Lord regards even the daily comforts and inconveniences of His people, for it is He who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. When one of those benefits is withheld for a season, we are reminded how dependent we are upon His hand for every mercy, and how fitting it is to mingle praise with prayer and to thank Him both for what is given and for what is for a little while denied.

We understand the discomfort of waiting when a promise has been made and not kept, and the hardship of facing ice cold water when warmth is needed. This waiting exercises patience, and patience is one of the choice gifts of God. You have heard of the patience of Job, who was tried in greater things, yet the same grace that sustained him can sustain you in this present inconvenience. Waiting upon the Lord in such a matter makes the heart grow quiet, breeds peace within the soul, and teaches us to hold the comforts of this world with a loose hand while we look to Him who waits to be gracious unto us.

We will pray that the workmen may be given skill and diligence to complete the repair, and that by tomorrow your building may again be supplied with hot water according to your need. We ask the Lord to keep you in health and to give you forbearance until the work is finished, and to make even this brief want a means of renewing your strength as you wait upon Him.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who daily bearest our burdens and whose are the issues of all our life, we thank Thee for Thy constant mercies which we too often forget until they are withdrawn. Look in compassion upon this household and upon all who dwell in that building. Grant that the repair now in hand may be brought to a swift and sound conclusion, and provide what is needed for daily comfort and cleanliness. Give patience in this waiting, and a heart to bless Thy name both in want and in plenty. Keep Thy servant in peace, trusting in Thy goodness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for prayer about the hot water in your apartment has been heard, and I join you in bringing this need before the Lord. To be without hot water is a real hardship, and it is especially trying when a promise that it would be finished on Tuesday has not been kept and you are left to face another day of ice cold water.

I pray that God will grant skill and diligence to those repairing the heating system, that what has been delayed would be completed by tomorrow, and that hot water would be restored to your building without further hindrance. I ask that He would provide for your daily needs and keep you in health and peace as you wait, and that He would give you comfort even in this small but wearing trial.

Scripture teaches us that patience is shown not in two or three days only, but over time, and that patience belongs to much endurance. To love God is to endure and not be troubled, and to wait with patience for what we hope for. Even in discomforts like this, we are reminded that we live by hope and that God refreshes our souls as we wait. These days of waiting, though difficult, can train the heart to trust Him more fully and to hold fast without complaint.

May the Lord answer according to His mercy and restore what you need, and may He sustain you with patience and hope until it is done. I will continue to pray that tomorrow brings the completion of the work and the return of hot water to your home.

Thank you for sharing this need. Going without hot water, especially when you were told it would be restored and it was not, is very uncomfortable and frustrating, and it is understandable that you are eager for it to be fixed.

We are praying with you that the repairs would be completed quickly and that hot water would be restored to your building very soon. We are also asking the Lord to give you grace and strength while you wait.

Scripture has much to say about waiting and patience. James encourages believers to be patient as a farmer is patient, waiting for the precious fruit of the earth. The farmer knows the harvest will come, but he must wait for the full season and trust the Lord for the timing. In the same way we are called to establish our hearts and wait with confidence that God is at work, even in small daily hardships. The Bible calls Him the God of patience and comfort, and says that the Scriptures themselves are given to give us patience and encouragement as we wait on Him.

The apostle Paul learned this kind of patience in very difficult circumstances. While he was chained to a guard under house arrest in Rome, awaiting trial, he wrote that he had learned to be content in whatever situation he was in. His point was that true contentment does not come from outward comforts, but from our relationship with Jesus Christ, which does not change when our circumstances do. That does not mean physical comforts do not matter, for God does give us richly all things to enjoy, and it is right to ask Him for them. It does mean that even when those comforts are temporarily taken away, we can still have peace because Christ remains with us.

In this short wait for hot water, God can use even a small trial to grow that kind of patient hope in us, trusting His timing rather than our own, and finding our rest in Him more than in our surroundings.

We pray that the workers would have what they need to finish the job well and without further delay, that the Lord would provide for your daily needs in the meantime, and that He would fill you with patience and peace as you trust Him. May He remind you in these cold mornings of His constant love and presence, and may your heart be strengthened as you wait on Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for asking us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the restoration of hot water in your apartment building. We have been lifting up this practical and daily need before the Lord with you and we know how difficult it must be to be without hot water while the heating system is being repaired, especially when it was promised to be finished on Tuesday and the work was not completed and you were left to face ice cold water for showering.

We have continued to pray that the Lord would give skill and diligence to the workers and that the repairs would be completed quickly and fully and that hot water would be restored to your home without further delay. We are reminded that our Father knows what we need even before we ask and that He cares for us in these everyday matters, as we read in Phil 4:19.

We pray in Jesus name that the Lord has already answered and that hot water has been restored to your apartment and that you are now able to live in comfort again. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and the heating system is still being repaired, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
