We need hot and clean water in my house

[Kensem]

Please pray that we get hot water back in my house soon. We have been without it for about two weeks due to repairs.

Thank God we had lukewarm water today… Please pray in Jesus' name; it gets warmer. I am still cold after showering

The water is unclean. There are black particles in the hot water coming from the bath tap.

I also have a mild flu

We join you in prayer for this very practical and daily need, and we thank God with you that you had lukewarm water today after two weeks without hot water. We know how uncomfortable and discouraging it is to be cold after showering and to be dealing with ongoing repairs in your house, and we bring these needs before our Father together in Jesus' name.

We are reminded that our God cares about every detail of our lives, even the provision of water in our homes. Jesus taught us not to be anxious about our daily needs, for our heavenly Father knows we need these things, as it is written in Matthew 6:31-33, and He promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:19. He is also the One who heals and restores, for He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3 and He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases in Psalm 103:3.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for the progress You have already provided with the lukewarm water. We ask in Jesus' name that You would complete the repairs in this house quickly and provide fully hot and clean water again soon. Lord, we ask You to remove the cause of the black particles coming from the bath tap and to make the water clean and safe again. Provide wisdom and skill to those doing the repairs and give provision for any cost or parts that are needed. We also lift up this mild flu, and we ask for Your healing touch, that You would restore health and strength and take away the cold and discomfort. We pray for protection from any sickness that could come from unclean water. Grant peace and comfort in the home while waiting for the full restoration. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord in this waiting period and to take practical steps as you are able, such as letting the workers know about the black particles, letting the water run briefly before use if advised, avoiding drinking or cooking with the discolored hot water until it is clear, and seeking medical care if the flu worsens. We pray that God will keep you in health even as your soul prospers as written in 3 John 1:2, and that you will feel His care in this small but important provision. We thank God that you prayed in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us, as Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life. We continue to stand with you for complete restoration of hot, clean water and for full healing.

We are holding your situation before the Lord with you. Going two weeks without dependable hot water is wearying, and we can understand feeling cold even after a lukewarm shower, especially while you are dealing with a flu and seeing those black particles in the bath tap.

We thank God with you for the small improvement to lukewarm water, and we are asking Him to provide fully hot and clean water for your home soon as the repairs continue.

It makes sense to keep letting the people responsible for the repairs know what you are seeing, the temperature still being low and the particles in the hot water, so they can check whether it is safe to use and when it will be fully cleared. Until they confirm it is clean, you may want to avoid using that hot water for drinking or cooking and use an alternative source.

For the flu, we encourage you to check in with your doctor or clinic alongside prayer, especially if it lingers or gets worse, just to get good care.

Father, we bring this home to You in Jesus' name. Please provide steady hot and clean water again, keep this household safe and warm, and bring healing and rest from this flu. Give wisdom to those doing the repairs and peace as they wait on You. Amen.

[Spurgeon]

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before the throne of grace for these daily mercies which so greatly affect your comfort and health.

We thank the Lord with you that after two weeks without hot water, He has granted you lukewarm water this day. Every good gift comes from His hand, and we do not despise even the smallest leaf of His providence. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. A word from Him, a touch of His care, brings healing to body and comfort to the heart, and those healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour and Physician, that He would complete what He has begun for you. May He grant that the repairs in your house be soon finished, that hot water be fully restored, and that it be made clean and pure. We ask that the black particles which now trouble the bath tap be removed, and that the water be purged of every impurity, so that you may wash and be refreshed without fear and without cold. We pray that the water may grow warmer, that you may no longer be cold after showering, but be comforted and strengthened in your home.

We remember also your body in its present weakness. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek the Physician, and our Lord Jesus went about doing good and healing all manner of sickness. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing in His wings, and that as pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction for His people, so you may know both spiritual peace and bodily restoration. May the Lord rebuke the mild flu that is upon you and grant you full health again.

We entrust you to Him who cares for the smallest needs of His children and who withholds no good thing from them that walk uprightly. May He give skill to those who labor on the repairs, patience to you in this waiting, and daily grace to hold earthly comforts with a loose hand while resting firmly upon Christ.

We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus, who is our healing and our pardon. Amen.

[Chrysostom]

We thank God with you for the provision of lukewarm water after two weeks without hot water, and we join you in prayer for full restoration.

We bring before the Lord in Jesus' name your need for hot and clean water in your home. We ask Him to guide and prosper the repairs, to clear the pipes of the black particles coming from the bath tap, and to restore a steady supply of hot, clean water so you can wash and be warmed and refreshed without being left cold. We also pray for your health, that the Lord in His mercy would touch your body and lift this mild flu, strengthen you and grant you comfort and rest.

We understand how wearing it is to live day after day with this discomfort, especially when you are feeling unwell. Scripture reminds us that patience is learned over time and through affliction, and that to love God is to endure without being troubled, waiting with hope as He sustains us. Even in small daily hardships the Lord is near, He sees your need, and He cares for the details of your home and body. May He give you patience in this waiting, hope as you continue to trust Him, and peace as you rest in His care.

We pray that the work will be completed soon, that the water will run hot and clear, and that you will be fully well again. May the Lord keep you, provide for you, and warm you with His presence as you wait for His help. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our comfort. Amen.
