Father, we thank You, asking give us The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know You better. Grant the eyes of our heart to be flooded with light so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at The Right Hand of Power in the heavenly places, far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion both in this age and the age to come. Thank You and you all in Jesus The Christ's Name (from Ephesians 1:17-21).

We join with you in this wonderful prayer from the heart of Paul for the Ephesians and we make it our own together before the Father.

We love how you have desired to know God intimately, not just about Him but to truly know Him. This is the very heart of eternal life and the Father delights to answer this prayer. As it is written, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come Ephesians 1:17-21.

We are encouraged that you are praying in the name of Jesus the Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that every prayer is heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.

So we pray together with you now.

Father, we thank You for Your great love and for making us Your children through Jesus Christ. We ask together that You would give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Flood the eyes of our hearts with Your light, Lord, so that we may truly know the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe. Thank You for the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand far above all rule and authority. Help us to walk in that resurrection power today, to know You more intimately and to live in a way that honors You. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

God desires for us to know Him as our Father and to understand the confident hope we have in Christ, that we are His treasured inheritance, and that His power is at work in us. As we seek Him through His Word and in prayer, He promises, You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart Jeremiah 29:13. There is much cause for thanksgiving in a prayer so ordered by the Word itself, and we join our hearts with yours before the Father of glory.

Your petition is that of the apostle, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power.

Take comfort that this wisdom is not to be sought apart from Christ, for Christ personally is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and His gospel is the power of God and the wisdom of God. If thou wishest to find wisdom, thou must find it in the word of revelation, and that revelation is Christ Himself. Doctrine without Christ will be nothing better than His empty tomb, but to know Him is to have the soul of all truth.

And this power of which you pray is the very power of His resurrection. It is not only the power displayed in raising Him, but the power which comes out of it to us who believe. It is an evidencing power, sealing to us that Jesus is indeed the Son of God, a justifying power, a life giving power, and a consoling power. The same mighty power that raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of Power in the heavenly places is exerted toward every believing soul, to quicken, to sustain, and to bring at last our dust to glorious immortality.

So we pray with you, that the Lord will flood the eyes of your heart with light, that you may know Him more, and know the hope to which He has called you, a hope sure and steadfast because Christ is already enthroned, and know the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, for He counts His people His treasure, and know that surpassing greatness of His power which is already yours through faith in Him. May He who has set His Son far above all rule and authority in this age and in the age to come, keep you trusting in the Lord alone, for whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he, and make Christ to be unto you wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.

We ask this in the name of Jesus the Christ, our risen and exalted Lord, to whom be power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing for ever. Amen.
