🙏 We All Know God Intimately, The Hope of His Calling, Riches of His Inheritance & Exceedingly Great Strength in Raising Christ, Eph 1:17-21...

Nochaeld

Beloved of All
Glorious Father, we thank You, asking give us The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know You better. Grant the eyes of our heart to be flooded with light so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at The Right Hand of Power in the heavenly places, far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion both in this age and the age to come. Thank You and you all in Jesus The Christ's Name (from Ephesians 1:17-21).

We join with you in this beautiful and scriptural prayer and we say amen to your desire to know our Glorious Father more intimately.

What you have prayed is the very heart of the Apostle Paul's prayer for the church and it is the Father's will for us all, that we would not merely know about Him but truly know Him. As it is written in Eph 1:17-21 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. We treasure this prayer because it shows that our hope is not uncertain, our inheritance is glorious, and the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work toward us who believe.

We are encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus the Christ, for we have confidence that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And eternal life itself is defined by knowing Him, as written in John 17:3, This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

We pray together with you now.

Glorious Father, we thank You for Your great love and mercy toward us in Christ. We ask You to give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Flood the eyes of our hearts with Your light, that we may truly comprehend the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe. Help us to live in the reality of that resurrection power which You exerted when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, both in this age and in the age to come. Draw us into deeper intimacy with You, that we may know You more and be transformed by that knowledge. Teach us to walk worthy of Your calling and to set our hope fully on Christ who reigns above all. We thank You for hearing us and we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray this prayer daily and to linger in the Word where God reveals Himself, for as it is written in Jeremiah 9:24 but let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth, for I delight in these things, says Yahweh. And in Philippians 3:10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings. May the Lord continue to deepen your fellowship with Him and reveal His glory to you more and more.

Thank you for sharing this prayer of thanksgiving with us. We were encouraged to read your words asking to know God more intimately, for wisdom and revelation and for the eyes of your heart to be flooded with light.

What strikes us is how this kind of praying itself keeps the heart turned toward Him. Asking to know Him better is not a one time moment but a daily turning, and the hope and inheritance and power you named are things we grow into understanding little by little as we walk with Him.

One simple way to stay with this prayer this week is to linger on one phrase at a time in your own time with the Lord, perhaps hope one day, inheritance the next, and His power the next, and notice what He brings to mind through ordinary moments, conversations, or His Word. It can help to thank Him again as you notice those small evidences of His nearness.

We are grateful to stand with you in this.

Father, we thank You for the hunger You have placed in our hearts to know You. We ask You to gently open the eyes of our hearts more each day, to deepen our trust in the hope You give and to help us rest in Your strength at work in us. Draw us closer to Yourself through Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, amen.

Your prayer from Ephesians is most scriptural and most blessed, and we do heartily join our Amen to it before the Glorious Father.

It is right that you should ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, for wisdom must come to us by revelation from God, we cannot find it by our own efforts. Christ Himself is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and His gospel is the highest of all sciences. To know Him better is not a matter of mere learning, but of the Holy Spirit opening the eyes of the heart and flooding them with light.

So we pray with you, that the Lord would grant you that enlightened sight, that you may know indeed the hope of His calling. It is a gracious calling, a humbling calling, a holy and high and heavenly calling, a calling from on high that lifts the heart to heavenly things and to holiness. May you be established in it and not moved from the hope of your calling.

We pray also that you may know the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints. It is an exceedingly broad inheritance, a measureless possession secured by covenant, in which we at first obtain pardon of sin and then go on from grace to grace to possess more and more of what is already ours in Christ.

And we pray that you may know the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, that same mighty power which He exerted when He raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of power in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, both in this age and in the age to come. That power which raised Christ is the power which quickens and keeps every believer, and he who trusts in Christ proves in his own experience that Christ is the power of God.

May the Lord answer this prayer for you abundantly, and make you to cling and trust and love and rejoice, to the praise of His glory, in Jesus the Christ's name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join with you in giving thanks to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, for the faith that is in Him and for your desire to know Him more deeply.

Your prayer follows the very words of the Apostle, who without ceasing gave thanks and made mention of the faithful in his prayers, asking that God would give a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. This is not a wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, but the wisdom of God which was hidden and is now revealed by His Spirit. The world in its wisdom did not know God, but God in His goodness has opened the eyes of our hearts to see Him.

So we pray with you that the eyes of your heart may be flooded with light, that you may know three things which the Apostle sets before us. First, the hope of His calling, that you may see clearly to what a great hope He has called you, not as Abraham who went out not knowing where he went, but with full assurance of the promise. Second, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, that inheritance of the kingdom and deliverance from all that condemns us which He has prepared for those who love Him. Third, the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, the same working of the strength of His might which He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, both in this age and in the age to come.

May the Lord grant you to grow in this knowledge, to walk in a manner worthy of that calling, and to hold fast to the power that raised Christ, which is also at work in you. We thank God for you and continue to remember you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.

Your prayer is deeply biblical and beautiful, and it is a joy to agree with you in it. The apostle Paul prayed this very prayer for the believers in Ephesus, that God would give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

That desire to know God better is at the heart of all He has done for us. God has not left Himself hidden. He has unveiled Jesus Christ to His servants, so that we can see and know Him truly. Jesus is the faithful witness of what God is like. If you want to know what the Father is, look at the Son. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. When God says I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending, and Jesus says the same, we see they are one. To know Jesus more is to know God more, and the Holy Spirit is the one who opens our understanding to that reality.

When you ask for the eyes of your heart to be flooded with light, you are asking for what only God can do. He alone can open our inner sight. And Paul points to three things He wants us to see clearly.

First, the hope of His calling. God created us for fellowship with Himself, to bring Him pleasure through a loving relationship. His calling is not uncertain. It is a living hope anchored in Christ, the firstborn from the dead, who has secured eternal life for all who trust in Him.

Second, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints. This is not only our inheritance in God, but how much He values us as His own inheritance. Scripture shows the throne of God in heaven, with the living creatures declaring Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come, and the elders responding that He is worthy to receive glory and honor and power. You are so valued by the One who sits on that throne that He calls you His own treasured people.

Third, the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. It is the same power He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, both in this age and in the age to come. The God who is outside of time, the great I AM who was and is and is to come, exercised that resurrection power for you. The same power that lifted Jesus from the grave is now at work in your life to know Him, to walk with Him, and to stand in His victory.

So I join you in praying that the Father of glory will continue to give you that spirit of wisdom and revelation, that your heart will be filled with light to grasp more deeply the hope you have in Christ, the richness of belonging to Him, and the mighty power that is already yours through His resurrection and exaltation. May the Lord make Christ more real and more precious to you each day as you seek Him, for He delights to reveal Himself to those who seek to know Him. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
