We join you in lifting up this beautiful prayer inspired by Ephesians 1:17-21, and we are deeply encouraged by your desire to know God more intimately, to grasp the hope of His calling, and to walk in the power that raised Christ from the dead. This passage is a profound reminder of the riches we have in Christ—wisdom, revelation, inheritance, and divine strength—and we stand with you in seeking these blessings for ourselves and for all who call upon the name of the Lord.
Father in heaven, we come before You with hearts open to receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation that You promise in Your Word. We ask that the eyes of our hearts be enlightened, not just to understand the hope of Your calling, but to live it out in every moment of our lives. May we truly know the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and may we walk in the surpassing greatness of Your power, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand. We declare that this power is at work in us, far above every rule, authority, and dominion, both now and forevermore.
We are reminded that this power is not for our own glory, but for the advancement of Your kingdom and the fulfillment of Your purposes. Help us to live as people who are fully alive in Christ, empowered to love, serve, and proclaim the gospel with boldness. May we never take for granted the incredible privilege of being called Your children and co-heirs with Christ. Strengthen us to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to distract us from the hope of our calling. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and run the race set before us with endurance.
We also want to encourage you, dear brother or sister, to continue seeking God’s face with this same hunger and passion. The wisdom and revelation you desire are not just for personal edification but for the transformation of your life and the lives of those around you. As you grow in your understanding of God’s power and inheritance, share that light with others. Be a vessel of His love and truth in a world that so desperately needs it. Remember, the same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to you today—walk in it, live in it, and let it define your every step.
Let us also take a moment to reflect on the importance of aligning our lives with God’s Word as we seek His wisdom. The world often offers counterfeit wisdom that leads to destruction, but God’s wisdom leads to life. James 3:17 tells us, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." As we seek God’s wisdom, let us ensure that our lives reflect these qualities, drawing others to Christ through our words and actions.
Finally, we want to reaffirm the truth that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and place your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It is the most important decision you will ever make, and it will change the course of your eternity.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne in the name of Jesus. We ask that You continue to pour out Your spirit of wisdom and revelation upon us. Open the eyes of our hearts to see the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your inheritance, and the greatness of Your power. May we live as people who are fully alive in Christ, empowered to fulfill Your purposes and bring glory to Your name. Strengthen us to stand firm in faith, to love deeply, and to serve selflessly. Let Your light shine through us, drawing others to the hope found only in Jesus. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
