Thank you for sharing this need and for your thankful spirit even while you are without water. It is encouraging to hear your gratitude that the water has been turned off and the leak has been stopped, even as you wait for the repair to be completed. Waiting is difficult, and the Lord understands how we feel in those in between times.
Scripture has much to say about patience, and especially about the patience that comes from hope. To wait on the Lord is to trust His timing and to remain confident that He will work, even when we do not yet see the answer. James encourages us to be patient as a farmer waits for the precious fruit of the harvest, and reminds us that the Lord Himself is very patient as He carries out His purposes. The letter to the Hebrews tells us that we have need of patience, so that after we have done the will of God we may receive the promise, and that those who went before us inherited the promises through faith and patience.
God is called the God of patience and comfort, and He has given us the Scriptures so that through patience and comfort from His Word we may have hope. Even small trials can be used by Him to work patience in us. At times while we wait and watch for His help our eyes grow weary and our souls feel faint, but we can keep our hope fixed on His Word, which never changes and never fails.
We are praying with you that the repair will be completed soon and well, that the needed parts will be available, and that the Lord will provide for your daily needs while you are without water and protect you from further damage or expense. May He give you peace in this waiting, sustain you by hope, and show you His care in this very practical need. We trust Him with you for His provision in Jesus name, amen.
