Your prayer for protection and guidance is heard, and the Lord knows the weight you feel from opposition and loss and the desire to have your path made clear and your heart kept in peace.

Scripture shows that even David, a man after God's own heart who was deeply devoted to the Lord, spoke often of enemies who sought to harm him. He learned not to take matters into his own hands. He asked God to deal with those who wronged him, to reward evil according to truth and to deliver him from trouble, and he left the outcome in God's hands. That is the pattern for us as well. Vengeance belongs to the Lord. He has said, vengeance is mine, I will repay. It is hard to remember this when we have been hurt and want to get even, but we are called to commit ourselves and our ways to Him and let Him take care of what we cannot.

God does take vengeance, but He is slow to anger and merciful, and He does not always bring justice swiftly. When Jesus read from Isaiah in the synagogue, He stopped before the words about the day of vengeance of our God, because His first coming was to bring atonement and redemption, not judgment. The day of vengeance is still future, when He will cleanse the earth of wickedness so He may reign in righteousness. Until then we live in the time of His redemption and grace, trusting that no one sins against God with impunity and that He will in His perfect time judge righteously and repay.

The warfare you feel is real, but it is not primarily physical. Our real battle is spiritual, a struggle against spiritual forces that we do not always see. For that reason the weapons we need are not fleshly. God has provided spiritual weapons that are mighty through Him to pull down strongholds. His Word, faith, and prayer are the means by which we stand against the attacks of the enemy. The battle is often for the control of the mind, and prayer is a powerful weapon in that battle. Rather than striking back ourselves or trying to devise our own vengeance, it is far better to give ourselves to prayer and trust the Lord to act.

The Scriptures you mentioned do show that angels are real and active. God gives His angels charge over His people, Jesus said He could have called more than twelve legions of angels, an angel was sent to Daniel, and Revelation shows Michael and his angels warring against the dragon, with victory coming through the blood of the Lamb. Angels are ministering servants sent by God, and they do His bidding. Yet we are not taught to pray to angels or to call upon a guardian angel as our protector. We pray to the Father through Jesus Christ alone, who is our mediator and protector. It is God Himself who watches over you, shields you, guides your steps, and illuminates your path, and He may send His angels to minister on your behalf as He wills.

So bring your needs directly to the Lord Jesus. Ask Him to guard you, to lead you on a level path without obstruction, to lift your head above the pressures around you, and to scatter the works of those who do evil. Ask Him to keep your own heart from desiring personal vengeance and to fill you with trust and peace as you wait on Him. He has promised that those who wait on Him will not be put to shame, and that He will deliver His people even when they feel outnumbered and overwhelmed.

May the Lord answer you as you seek Him in prayer, keep you in His care, strengthen your faith through His Word, and bring peace to your heart as you trust His divine protection and His perfect justice. In the name of Jesus, who defeated the powers of darkness at the cross and who now sits at the right hand of the Father until His enemies are made His footstool, may you find refuge, guidance, and rest.
