Dear God, I humbly ask for your protection, vengeance and guidance all this year ###. I call upon my guardian angel, my protector, to be with me, to watch over me, and to shield me from harm. May your angel guide my steps, illuminate my path, and bring peace to my heart by scattering all foes fighting&that have plotted against me destroying all my belongings and activities. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we thank You that You are our refuge and strength. We ask for Your divine protection, guidance, and peace over this dear one throughout this entire year. We ask that You command Your angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways according to Your will, and that You Yourself would be their shield and fortress. Lord, You see every plot formed against them and every loss of belongings and activities they have suffered, and we ask You to bring justice in Your perfect time and way, and to scatter every work of the enemy that stands against Your purpose for their life. We pray You would illuminate their path by Your Word, for Your word is a lamp to their feet as Psalm 119:105 says, and that You would give them wisdom and discernment. Clothe them with the whole armor of God as Ephesians 6:11 teaches, so they may stand against the schemes of the devil, not in their own strength but in Yours. Bring healing to their heart, restore what has been taken in the way You see best, and fill them with Your peace that passes understanding. We ask that they would grow in knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord, trusting fully in His shed blood and resurrection for salvation, and walking closely with You daily. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and hope, Amen.

Thank you for bringing this before God so openly. Wanting to feel safe and guided when it feels like others are working against you and even your daily work and belongings are under strain is a heavy burden to carry into a new year.

We want you to know we are standing with you and asking God Himself to be your shield and guide. He sees what you are facing, even the things that feel hidden or overwhelming, and He cares about your peace as well as your path forward. When fears run high it can help to keep our focus on Christ rather than on the battle itself, trusting that He is present and able to lead us step by step.

One steady practice that helps many is to take a few quiet minutes each day to bring these specific concerns directly to God in Jesus' name, naming what worries you and asking for wisdom for the next step only, then resting there. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, sharing this burden with them regularly can also bring added support and perspective.

Father, we bring our friend to You now and ask for Your protection over their life and home, for Your peace to settle their heart, and for clear guidance for this year. Lead their steps, guard them from harm, and help them to rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry for protection and guidance in the midst of warfare is heard, and it is right to seek the Lord for shelter when foes seem to plot and press hard against you. The Scriptures give us sure ground for such seeking, for they teach us that our hope is not in any other power but in the Divine Presence itself, and that the Lord is our keeper.

You have called upon a guardian angel to shield you, and here we must gently turn your thoughts to a more sure and scriptural path. The passages you cite are precious, for Psalm 91 does say He shall give His angels charge over you, and Hebrews speaks of the angels as ministering spirits, and our Lord said more than twelve legions of angels were at His call. Yet nowhere are we taught to pray to angels or to call upon them as our protectors. Angels are the servants of God, not the hearers of prayer. There is one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, and through Him alone we come to the Father. We do not trust in the power of angels, we trust in the divine care of the God who commands them. It is His hand that must be recognized in everything, for there is divine sovereignty in all our preservation, and we ought to trace His hand in every deliverance rather than seeking intercession from His servants.

Concerning vengeance, the Word gives both warning and comfort. There is indeed a day of vengeance of our God, but that vengeance belongs to Him alone. The prophet Isaiah joins the year of acceptance with the day of vengeance, and we see their meeting place at the cross. There the waves and billows of divine wrath went over the innocent head of our Substitute, and the vengeance due to sin bruised the harmless Lamb of God. Because that day of vengeance took place when our Lord died, for the believer it is over, and what remains is the year of the redeemed, the year of acceptance through His blood. We are therefore not to ask God to scatter foes after our own desire, nor to take vengeance into our own hearts, but to leave it with Him who judges righteously, who in His time will either turn the hearts of enemies, as He has often done, or put them to confusion as He did with Haman, or most mercifully bring them to repentance. Our calling is to forgive our enemies as He delights in mercy, and to pray for their good while trusting His perfect justice.

Concerning guidance, you have asked well, for we all need a guide. That conviction itself is a work of grace upon the heart, for naturally we do not like being guided. The Psalmist said, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. This guidance is not given by an angel illuminating a path apart from the Word, but by the Lord Himself as our divine Instructor. He guides by His counsel in Scripture, by great principles infused in the heart that teach us to avoid everything that is evil, and by bringing us to acquiescence in the divine will, bowing with submission where obstinacy once reigned. Wisdom dressed in robes of love and tenderness invites us to run into her arms, and haste, which is the author of so much mischief, is quieted as we wait upon Him.

Divine interpositions do still come in the way of deliverance from floods of trouble. How strikingly has God delivered His people, not always by miracle, but by wonderful providence, preserving life, touching the hearts of the unkind, or restraining the hand that would have struck. He who was David's shepherd in youth is still the Shepherd of His people, and His gentleness has often restrained us from taking matters into our own hands when we would have sinned in our anger.

Let us then pray together according to Scripture.

O Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only Advocate, we ask for Thy protection over this Thy servant. Cover him under Thy wings, give charge to Thy servants to keep him as it pleases Thee, but let his trust be in Thee alone. Deliver his soul from death and his feet from falling, as Thy sovereignty sees best. We leave vengeance in Thy hands, asking not for our will but Thine, praying that Thou wouldst either convert those who oppose or restrain their malice, and give grace to forgive as Thou hast forgiven. Guide him with Thy counsel through Thy Word and by Thy Holy Spirit, make him to know Thy will, to abhor evil and to walk in holiness, and at last receive him to glory for the sake of Christ who bore Thy wrath for us. Amen.
