We hear your cry for protection and guidance, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s deliverance from the spiritual battles you face. While we acknowledge your trust in divine care, we must gently correct a few things in your prayer to align fully with Scripture.

First, we do not pray to or invoke angels, guardian or otherwise, as intermediaries. Our access to God is through Jesus Christ alone. Hebrews 1:14 tells us that angels are "ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation," but they are not to be worshiped or called upon. Our prayers must be directed to the Father in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach God (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). We do not rely on angels for vengeance or guidance; we trust in the Lord, who fights for us (Exodus 14:14).

You mention Psalm 91:11-12, which indeed speaks of God’s protection: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." But this promise is fulfilled under God’s authority, not by our summoning of angels. We must not elevate angels above their intended role, lest we fall into error (Colossians 2:18).

As for vengeance, Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). We do not call for destruction upon our enemies but pray for their repentance and transformation, even as we ask God to shield us from harm. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). While we stand against evil, our hearts must remain soft toward those who oppose us, trusting God to judge righteously.

Let us pray together in the name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection over their life. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We ask that You surround them with Your heavenly hosts, not as objects of our invocation, but as servants of Your will, dispatched by You to guard and guide them.

Father, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy plotting against them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You expose and dismantle every plan of darkness. Give them discernment to recognize the attacks of the enemy and the wisdom to stand firm in faith. Shield their mind, body, and spirit from harm, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for those who have wronged them. Soften their hearts, O God, and lead them to repentance. Help our brother/sister to forgive, even as You have forgiven them, and to release any bitterness or desire for vengeance into Your hands. Let Your justice prevail, not through our own strength, but through Your perfect and holy will.

We ask for Your guidance in every step they take. Illuminate their path with Your Word and Your Spirit, that they may walk in Your truth and righteousness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and power to deliver and protect. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may our brother/sister experience Your peace and presence in abundance. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), putting on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, and stay vigilant, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this battle, God is with you, and we stand with you in prayer and support.

We hear the deep weariness behind your words, the feeling that you’re facing invisible attacks and relentless opposition, that your very belongings and activities are under siege. That kind of fear is exhausting, and we don’t want to minimize it. You’re not wrong to long for protection and guidance; those desires are God-given.

What we’d gently offer isn’t a formula, but a shift in focus: instead of trying to summon angels or secure personal vengeance, rest in the One who already commands every angelic army and who says justice belongs to Him. When our mind replays the plots we imagine or the losses we’ve suffered, it’s easy to slip into a defensive crouch, always scanning for the next attack. That posture steals peace and keeps us small. Scripture assures us that the battle is the Lord’s, not something we carry alone.

A simple, concrete step that might bring steadiness: each time those fears surface, resist the urge to rehearse the wrongs or mentally scatter foes. Instead, speak aloud a short truth, maybe, “Jesus, I belong to You; You are my shield.” If you can, share this burden with a trusted pastor or a mature believer who can pray with you regularly. Carrying this alone makes the threat seem larger than it is.

Let’s pray now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one who feels surrounded and worn down. You see the battles they face, seen and unseen. Quiet their heart with the unshakable truth that nothing can separate them from Your love. Surround them with Your peace that makes no sense to the world, and dispatch Your help according to Your will. Grant wisdom for the days ahead, and help them fix their eyes on You rather than on the storm. We ask all this in Your powerful name, Jesus. Amen.

Your plea rises before the throne of grace, yet I must lift a warning from the sacred page. You call upon a guardian angel as your protector, bidding that spirit to scatter your foes and bring destruction upon their works. But whom do the angels themselves worship? When John fell before the angel’s feet, the messenger cried, “See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant… worship God.” The Lord alone gives His angels charge over thee; they are ministering spirits sent forth, not lords to be petitioned. Would you send a servant to do the Master’s bidding without first kneeling to the Master? It is the Almighty who covers thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth is thy shield and buckler. Direct thy cry to Him, and He shall command His heavenly host concerning thee, but the angels are not thine to command.

And what of this thirst for vengeance? The day of vengeance of our God is a solemn truth, but it belongs to the Lord, not to our fallen passions. When Christ was reviled, He reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not, but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously. The cross of Christ calls us to a life of self-denial, to bless them that curse us, to pray for them which despitefully use us. If thou dost call down ruin upon thine enemies’ belongings and activities, art thou walking as the Crucified walked? The enemies of the cross are those whose god is their belly, who mind earthly things, not those who, mistreated, entrust vengeance to God. I charge thee, examine thy heart: is this the spirit of the year of acceptance, wherein the Lord proclaims liberty to the captives, or the bitter root of Esau, which defiles many?

Yet I would not leave thee comfortless. God’s angels do encamp round about them that fear Him. After the tempter fled, angels came and ministered to our Lord, not during the battle, lest they share the victory’s honour, but when the foe was gone, to strengthen the Conqueror. So shall it be for every child of God who trusts not in angelic might but in the blood of the Lamb. The hosts of Mahanaim attend the believer’s pathway, though unseen. Humble thyself, then, not to angels, but to the God of angels. Spread thy cause before Him, forgive as thou hast been forgiven, and He shall make thy righteousness shine as the light. The Lord is thy keeper; He shall preserve thy soul. Leave thine adversaries in His hands, for it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, and He will right every wrong in His own time. Wait patiently for Him.

You pray for protection and for an angel to scatter your foes and destroy their belongings, but consider carefully why you call for vengeance so quickly. A heart truly broken and contrite before God does not strike at others, nor is it eager for repayment of wrongs. The blessed David knew this when he said, “A broken and a contrite heart God will not despise.” That which is broken does not rise up in anger, it is quiet, ready to bear insult, and leaves vengeance where it belongs. The Apostle did not command Timothy to punish or even to pray down ruin on the coppersmith who harmed him; he simply advised him to avoid the man and entrusted the matter to God, saying, “The Lord will reward him according to his works.” That was prophecy, not a curse. How much more should we, when we suffer, hand over the whole affair to the righteous Judge, who will send forth judgment unto victory in His own time?

You ask an angel to destroy the belongings and activities of those you call foes, but are you certain these are truly your enemies in God’s sight? Perhaps the greater thorns choking your life are not outside but within, pride, resentment, the thirst to see others brought low. Before you ask heaven to uproot what belongs to another, root out those thorns from your own soul. Remember your own sins, bitter though the recollection be; it is far better to be gnawed by that remembrance now than by eternal vengeance later. A humble heart, aware of its own failings, is not quick to call down destruction on anyone.

Take care also when you think to command angels. They are ministering spirits sent by God, not servants of our wrath. Our Lord Himself said He could call twelve legions of angels, yet He did not. How then can we direct them to act like a sword against our petty grievances? The enemy often disguises himself as an angel of light, twisting even holy desires into something dark. A prayer that thirsts for the ruin of another’s property, even under the cloak of divine protection, may come from a spirit that knows nothing of the meekness of Christ. Job’s comforters thought they spoke for God, yet they only added to his affliction. Be not deceived.

Rely instead on the true promise of the Psalm: God shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. They guard the humble, not the vengeful. They guide the steps of those who seek peace, not destruction. Entrust your safety to God’s providence, and leave the fate of those who trouble you to His perfect justice. Let your prayer be for a clean heart and a steadfast spirit, that you may walk through the year under the shadow of the Almighty, not seeking to scatter others, but to be gathered yourself into His mercy.

I appreciate the honest cry of your heart. You are walking through real conflict, and it is right to turn to the Lord for protection and guidance. But let me offer a careful word about the way we seek that help, not to chide you but to anchor you more firmly in what Scripture actually teaches.

Your prayer calls upon your guardian angel to shield you and to scatter your foes. It is true that God commissions His angels to watch over His people. Psalm 91, which you cited, promises that He will command His angels concerning you. But notice where your trust belongs in that psalm: it rests in the Lord Himself, the Most High who is your refuge. Angels are mighty, created beings, with orders and ranks beyond our knowing, cherubim, archangels, and others who serve in the heavenly throne room. Yet they are not at our command. Nowhere does the Bible instruct us to pray to them or summon them by name. We pray to the Father in Jesus’ name, and He dispatches His heavenly hosts according to His perfect will. So I would gently urge you to redirect all your petitions to God Himself. Ask Him to post His angelic guard around you, and be assured He will do so as He sees best. Your confidence lies not in an angel’s presence but in the Lord who sends them.

You also asked for vengeance on those who have plotted against you. That desire is deeply human. We all long for the wicked to be brought down and for justice to prevail. Scripture does not deny that cry. The souls under the altar in Revelation cry out, “How long, O Lord, holy and true?” Yet the Lord’s answer to them was to wait. Vengeance belongs to Him alone. He will repay at the appointed time. Our trouble is that we want the repayment right now, and in wanting it now we can slide into imagining ways to get even ourselves. God warns us sharply against that. Even praying for vengeance can become a way of harboring bitterness, and that will eat away at your own soul. So I invite you to release the offenders into God’s hands. Trust Him to act in His own time, whether through bringing them to repentance or through righteous judgment. Remember that when Jesus opened the scroll in the synagogue, He closed it before reading the day of vengeance. His first coming was to provide atonement, not to pour out wrath. The final reckoning is still future. While we wait, we commit our wounds to the One who judges justly and ask Him to keep our hearts free from the thirst for personal revenge.

What you are experiencing is spiritual warfare. The real battle is not against flesh and blood but against unseen forces of evil. The flak you feel, the turmoil, the plots, the unsettledness, is the residue of that unseen conflict. And for spiritual warfare, God has given you spiritual weapons. The Word of God, persistent prayer, and faith, these are not weak things. They pull down strongholds and break the enemy’s schemes. When you bring your fight before the Lord with honest prayer and stand on His promises, you are arming yourself with power that no earthly weapon can match.

So let me pray with you in the way the Scriptures guide us: Lord God Almighty, You are holy and true. We entrust this dear one completely to Your care. Surround them with Your protection and, according to Your will, set Your angels to watch over their steps. Bring light to their confusion and peace to their troubled heart. Deal with every scheme set against them in Your wisdom and Your time, and hold them steady in the refuge of Your Son. In the name of Jesus alone, Amen.
