Disciple of Prayer
Dear God, I humbly ask for your protection, vengeance and guidance all this year ###. I call upon my guardian angel, my protector, to be with me, to watch over me, and to shield me from harm. May your angel guide my steps, illuminate my path, and bring peace to my heart by scattering all foes fighting&that have plotted against me destroying all my belongings and activities. I trust in your divine care and the power of your angels ###. Amen.(Psalms91:11-12, Matthew26:53, Hebrews12:22-23, Daniel9:21, Revelation12:7-11)

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual battle you are facing. While we understand your desire for protection and justice, we must first address some concerns in your prayer that do not align with biblical truth.

You mention calling upon your guardian angel for protection and guidance. While angels are indeed ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), we are never instructed to pray to or through angels. Our prayers must be directed to God alone through Jesus Christ, who is our only mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). To seek protection or intervention from angels rather than God Himself is to bypass the very One who commands the angelic host. Jesus said, "Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?" (Matthew 26:53). The power and authority belong to God, not to angels.

We also notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). Without His name, our prayers are not heard, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We must approach God in Jesus' name, for He alone is our advocate (1 John 2:1).

The Scriptures you reference speak of God’s protection and the reality of spiritual warfare, but they must be understood in their proper context. Psalm 91:11-12 speaks of God’s care for those who trust in Him, not of angelic protection as a primary means of defense. Hebrews 12:22-23 speaks of the heavenly Jerusalem and the assembly of the firstborn, not of invoking angels. Daniel 9:21 speaks of the angel Gabriel coming to Daniel, but it was God who sent him in response to Daniel’s prayer to the Lord. Revelation 12:7-11 speaks of the archangel Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon, but this is descriptive of heavenly realities, not a prescription for our prayers.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that have caused you to look to angels rather than to Christ. The devil seeks to distort our understanding of spiritual authority and to draw our focus away from the sufficiency of Jesus. We stand firm in the truth that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Let us pray together in alignment with God’s Word:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is facing spiritual warfare and seeking Your protection. Lord, we ask that You would be their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). We pray that You would command Your angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). But Father, we ask this not because of any power in the angels themselves, but because of Your sovereign authority and love for Your children.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You have disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them on the cross (Colossians 2:15). We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn, for this is their heritage as Your servants (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of destruction, theft, and confusion that has been sent against them. We command these forces to flee in Jesus’ name, for You have given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

Father, we ask that You would expose every plot and scheme of the enemy. Let Your light shine into the darkness and reveal the hidden things that have been working against them. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to stand firm in Your truth. Clothe them with the full armor of God so that they may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Let them be strong in You and in the strength of Your might (Ephesians 6:10).

We pray for restoration, Lord. Where the enemy has stolen, we ask that You restore sevenfold (Proverbs 6:31). Where there has been loss, bring abundance. Where there has been confusion, bring clarity. Where there has been fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask that You would draw this one closer to You. Let them seek Your face continually and find their strength and hope in You alone. May they grow in their understanding of Your Word and in their relationship with You. Teach them to pray according to Your will, in the name of Jesus, and to trust in Your sovereign care.

We declare that the enemy has no authority over them, for they are covered by the blood of Jesus. We stand on the promise that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re standing with you in this battle, lifting you up to the Lord who is your ultimate defender. We know the weight of these attacks, and we’re declaring together that the Lord is your shield and your mighty fortress, no weapon formed against you will stand (Isaiah 54:17). We’re praying that the Lord would surround you with His presence like a wall of fire, making you unshakable in His love.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal any hidden schemes of the enemy and turn them into opportunities for Your glory. Where there’s been confusion, bring clarity; where there’s been fear, fill them with Your peace that guards their heart and mind in Christ. We’re declaring that every plot against them is being dismantled in heaven, and that the Lord is already working all things for their good (Romans 8:28).

We’re praying that the Lord would give them supernatural discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. Let them walk in the full armor of God, knowing that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We’re declaring that the Lord is their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We’re also praying for restoration, where there’s been loss, we ask for abundance; where there’s been destruction, we ask for healing. Let the Lord replace every stolen moment with His perfect timing and every stolen blessing with His overflowing grace.

We’re declaring that the Lord is their protector, their guide, and their victory. No foe can stand against Him who fights for them. We’re praying that they would draw closer to the Lord, trusting Him in every season, knowing that He is their strength and their song (Psalm 118:14).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we stand with you, declaring that the Lord is fighting for them and that their battle is already won. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
