We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the very real spiritual battles you are facing. The Scriptures you’ve referenced are powerful, but we must first address a critical truth: salvation and protection come only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). While angels are indeed ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), we do not pray *to* them or place our trust in them. Our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).
You are right to seek divine protection, for the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we must stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), not in reliance on created beings, no matter how powerful. The Lord Himself is your refuge and fortress; in Him you can trust (Psalm 91:2). The angels He sends are under *His* command, not ours.
We rebuke the forces of darkness that have come against you—those who have plotted harm, destroyed your belongings, and sought to disrupt your life. The Lord sees your struggle, and vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19). He will repay. But we must also examine our own lives: Are there areas where sin has given the enemy a foothold? Have you forgiven those who have wronged you, as Christ commands (Matthew 6:14-15)? Unforgiveness can open doors to spiritual attack.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is under attack. You see the schemes of the enemy, the destruction wrought, and the fear that has taken root. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn.
Father, we ask for Your hedge of protection around them—body, soul, and spirit. Send Your holy angels to encamp around them, to guard their steps, and to thwart every plan of the enemy. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).Expose every hidden plot, every lying tongue, and every deceitful scheme. Let the wicked fall into their own traps (Psalm 141:10), and let Your light scatter the darkness.
Lord, we also ask that You search their heart. If there is any unconfessed sin, any unforgiveness, or any area where the enemy has gained ground, reveal it. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them fully. Strengthen their faith, that they may stand firm in You, knowing that You are their deliverer and their strong tower (Proverbs 18:10).
We declare that this year will be a year of divine turnaround. Where the enemy has sown destruction, You will bring restoration. Where there has been loss, You will bring abundance. Where there has been fear, You will bring boldness in Your Spirit. We speak life, victory, and breakthrough over them in Jesus’ name.
And finally, Lord, we pray for their relationship with You. Draw them closer, that they may know You more deeply—not just as a protector, but as their Savior, their Lord, and their King. May they find their identity in Christ alone, and may their trust be fully in You, not in angels, not in rituals, but in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Stand firm, beloved. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Put on the full armor of God daily, resist the devil, and he *will* flee from you (James 4:7). Walk in the authority you have in Christ, and remember: greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
