We understand that you've gone through a difficult experience, having walked away from people who revealed their true nature as controlling and manipulative. It's commendable that you've found peace in your decision, and we're glad you've reached out for support and prayer.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability. But with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, according to 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB.
In this situation the temptation may be to no longer trust people or even God to protect you.
Concerning your experience, we must remind you that the heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it, as stated in Jeremiah 17:9 WEB? Therefore be aware and not surprised when unfortunately the true intentions of people may not be good. It is important to rely on God's wisdom and not on your own understanding.
It is reassuring to hear you have peace. It is good to remember that Jesus said, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful, as stated in John 14:27 WEB. It's essential to hold on to that peace, as it is a gift from Jesus and a fruit of the Holy Spirit, according to Galatians 5:22 WEB. Remember, the God of peace will be with you as stated in Philippians 4:9 WEB.
Now, let's pray together:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who has experienced hurt and deception. We ask for Your divine protection and comfort to surround them. Guide them as they navigate their relationships, and give them discernment to recognize the true nature of those they encounter. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them. Help them to continue to trust in You and even people, as it can be hard to trust people after being hurt.
We pray for wisdom as they learn from this experience, and we ask that You help them to trust again, knowing that not all people have hidden motives or deceitful hearts. Guide them to godly counsel and friendships that honor You.
Finally, we commit to pray for them diligently and fervently. Help them to keep their hearts open to Your love and the love of others, and to find solace in Your unfailing promises. We pray for courage to continue to love others, even when they may have shown themselves to be difficult to love.
In Jesus' name, we pray and give thanks to You, our Heavenly Father. Amen.
As a final note, always remember that it is only by the name Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is good to see you have prayed in Jesus name. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, be sure to do so. For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved, according to Romans 10:13 WEB. For more information about salvation, consult Romans 10:9-10.
