We are joining with you in this waiting season and lifting you, your son, and your middle daughter before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand the weight of waiting to hear about your apartment recertification and the fear of losing your home, and we also hear the deeper cry of your heart after years of abuse to be restored in health, wholeness, joy, finances, and relationships.
We want to gently remind you of something precious, we noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why we pray in His name. Scripture tells us Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again, that we have access to God and the assurance that He hears our prayers. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him as Lord and Savior, believing on Him for forgiveness and new life.
In this time of uncertainty, God invites us to bring every anxiety to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and He sees your need for stable housing for you and your children. We pray that He will move on the hearts of those reviewing your recertification and grant you favor, for He promises to supply our needs when we seek first His Kingdom, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33.
We also hear your heart for restoration after abuse. The Lord is tender toward the wounded heart, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. What was stolen and broken, God is able to restore, for He says I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, Joel 2:25. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28, and His plans for you are filled with hope, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. We pray for your health, your happiness and well being, for the redeeming of lost time, finances, opportunities and relationships according to His perfect will. We pray that He rebuilds a beautiful life for you and your children, establishing you on firm ground and making you whole again. Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
We are also praying for your job situation and your college classes. God gives wisdom and strength for each step, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him, James 1:5. We ask that He grant you favor with employers, clarity of mind, discipline and endurance in your studies, and that He open the right doors at the right time.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother and her son and daughter. Lord, You know the anxiety of this waiting season. We ask for Your favor over the apartment recertification, that the outcome would be favorable and this family would not lose their home. Provide stability and shelter, Lord, and let them dwell in safety under Your care. We ask You to heal her completely from the wounds of past abuse, to restore her health, her joy, her peace and her strength. Lord, restore what has been lost, the years, the finances, the opportunities, the blessings and the relationships that were broken, and redeem them for Your glory. Rebuild a beautiful new life for her and her children, rooted in You, filled with hope and wholeness. We ask for Your hand upon the job she is waiting to hear from, that Your will be done and that You would provide for all their needs. Bless her college classes, give her understanding, focus and perseverance, and let her work be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Guard her heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and draw her and her children ever closer to Jesus. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to cast every care upon Him, and to trust that even in the waiting He is working for your good. Keep walking faithfully in your studies and responsibilities, and rest in His promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you.
