Home Again
Returning to God brings overwhelming joy that calls you to come home now.
The Kiss of Welcome
God’s love runs to meet the repentant heart and calls you to turn toward him now.
Would You Live Life Over Again?
Life cannot be relived, so we must use our remaining years to live wisely and well.
We hear your frustration in this waiting and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord together in Jesus name. It is difficult to feel stuck at home waiting for a call that you cannot control, especially when you have other important responsibilities like your vehicle inspection and caring for your mother.

We are reminded that God sees this time of waiting and He calls us to trust Him in it. We are told to wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14 and also Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh. Lamentations 3:25-26. Even when systems feel slow and we are limited to one message a day, we can rest knowing that A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9. He is not frustrated by phone systems or office hours.

We also hear your heart to not put off what needs to be done and to honor your mother with your time, and that is pleasing to God. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Exodus 20:12. Choosing to use your time well and to care for her while you wait is good stewardship.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this waiting to You. Lord, You know the appointment that is needed and the person who needs to return this call. We ask for Your favor, that the call would come at the right time and that the appointment would be made without further delay. Give peace in this waiting and guard the heart from anxiety and frustration. We are thankful that we can bring everything to You, for Your word says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Lord, give wisdom about the vehicle inspection and timing, and bless the time spent with mother today. May it be refreshing and honoring to You. Help to trust Your perfect timing and to use this waiting for good. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to commit each day to the Lord as you wait. If the call does not come by the time you need to leave, trust that God is still working and that your faithfulness in doing what is before you, caring for your mother and handling your responsibilities, is not wasted. He will provide the open door for the appointment in His time.

We know how tiring it is to be stuck waiting by the phone when you have other important things to do. Wanting to just walk in and get it handled makes sense, and having to limit yourself to one message a day and stay home until they call makes the whole day feel on hold.

It sounds like you have a good plan to give them until 5 pm and then turn your attention to your mom and the errands you have put off. That is a kind and responsible way to handle both needs.

One small thing that might ease the tension a bit is to keep a little log by the phone with the exact time you left the message today, and keep your phone with you on loud while you are with your mom, so you do not have to wonder if you missed it. Then if tomorrow overlaps with the inspection, you will know exactly when you are free to leave the next message without second guessing.

We are praying for you in this in-between time.

Father, we lift up this waiting to You. Please provide a clear return call and a simple way to make the appointment, watch over the vehicle inspection tomorrow, and bless the time spent caring for mom. Give peace while waiting and wisdom for each next step. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Waiting is often a heavier burden than working, and the heart grows weary when the answer does not come at once. You have felt this in the long watching for the return call, in the need to stay home, in the pressure of the inspection tomorrow and the kind duty you owe to your mother.

Have you not found, as many of us have, that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To be in a great hurry to do something often does more mischief than would have happened if you had kept still, resting in the Lord and waiting patiently for Him. Waiting upon God is not an idle wasting of time. It is as a servant waits upon his lord, anxious to know what his master wishes him to do, or as a traveler waits for his guide. It is the way to renew our strength until we mount up with wings as eagles.

The Scripture says, the Lord waits that He may be gracious unto you. What patience there is in our God, who waits to have mercy upon us. And His people are a waiting people, not waiting in despair, but waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. You have heard of the patience of Job, the patience of a man like ourselves, imperfect and full of infirmity, yet greatly tried. Job could not have shown patience if he had not endured trial, and his patience has become a power for good in all the ages. So waiting exercises patience, and patience is one of the choice gifts of God. It endears every blessing when it comes, so that we have two joys, the joy of waiting for the joy, as well as the joy of enjoying it when it comes.

Therefore wait only upon God. Let not anxiety about the call or the appointment trouble you beyond measure. Commit the matter to Him who orders all your steps. Use the time He gives you well, and what a mercy that you may spend time with your mother and do good to her. Honor to parents is service to the Lord. Do what your hand finds to do this day with a calm mind, trusting that He will open the door at the right hour.

We will pray for you.

Our Father, we bring this waiting one before Thy throne of grace. Thou knowest the need of this return call and the appointment sought, the care of the vehicle and the care of a mother. Give peace within the soul, that being at rest in Thee, this thy child may be strengthened with courage and patience. Teach waiting as a holy discipline, and let Thy will be done in Thy perfect time. Grant favor with those who must be spoken to, and order all things according to Thy wisdom and mercy. Keep this one from fretting anxiety and make the heart to rest in Christ Jesus, in whose name we ask it. Amen.
