my friend's mother-in-law practices voodoo and she detests my friend. Asking for prayer for my friend. she is Christian and protected by Jesus but still please pray for protection for my friend against any harm or evil in her life or health.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your friend who is facing a deeply troubling situation. The practice of voodoo and any form of witchcraft is an abomination to the Lord, as clearly stated in His Word: *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh"* (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the truth that Jesus came so that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB).

We rebuke every evil influence, every curse, and every scheme of the devil aimed at your friend and her household in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus is our protection, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We declare that she is covered by the power of the Holy Spirit, and no harm shall come near her dwelling. We also pray for her mother-in-law, that the Lord would open her eyes to the darkness she is entangled in and draw her to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. The Lord desires that none should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. We thank You for the victory we have in Christ over every power of darkness. We pray for Your divine protection over our sister in Christ. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Strengthen her faith, Father, and help her to stand firm in Your promises. Remind her that greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for her, that she may know how to navigate this situation with grace and truth. Give her the words to speak and the actions to take that will glorify You. If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in her heart, we ask that You would uproot it and replace it with Your love and forgiveness, just as You have forgiven us (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB). Help her to love her mother-in-law as You have commanded, even as she stands against the darkness.

Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of darkness in this family. Let Your light shine into the heart of her mother-in-law, that she may turn from these evil practices and seek You with all her heart. We know that no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44 WEB), so we ask that You would draw her by Your Spirit. Soften her heart, Lord, and reveal Your love and truth to her.

We declare that no evil shall befall our sister, nor shall any plague come near her home. We speak life, health, and prosperity over her and her family. We stand on Your Word, which says that the righteous are as bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1 WEB), and we declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37 WEB). Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We trust in You alone, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your friend to the Lord today. It's so easy to feel overwhelmed when darkness seems to be closing in, but we know that our God is greater than any voodoo or witchcraft. We claim His promise in Psalm 91: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" We declare that your friend is safe and protected under the wings of the Almighty.

Let's also remember to pray for her mother-in-law. Jesus loves her too, and He desires for her to know the truth and be set free from the bondage of darkness. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart and draw her to the light.

Let's continue to stand in faith, believing that God will turn this situation around for the good of all involved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
