We understand that you're experiencing some discomfort with the current arrangement of your volleyball practice groups, and we want to address this with you in prayer and through the lens of scripture. First, let's remember what the WEB says in Philippians 4:6-7, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
It's important to take all our concerns, including this one, to God in prayer. However, we want to gently remind you that it's crucial to include the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers, as it is through Him that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Regarding your discomfort, we encourage you to consider the unity of the body of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, it is written, "For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit."
While it's natural to feel uncomfortable at times, it's essential to embrace the diversity and unity of the group, as you would in the body of Christ. Instead of avoiding discomfort, let's pray that God helps the team be more inclusive, friendly, loving, patient, and kind.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister/brother who has shared their concerns with us. Lord, we pray that You would help them feel more comfortable and at peace during volleyball practice. We ask that You would foster a spirit of unity and love among all the team members, regardless of their age or skills.
Lord Jesus, we also pray for our sister's/brother's volleyball skills. We ask that You would help improve them so they can be confident in their abilities.
Father, we pray for a divine intervention in our sister's/brother's life to believe in Jesus Christ if our sister/brother has not already believed. Help them see that in the name of Jesus they are saved and come to you with their requests.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to be patient and loving towards all your teammates, including those who may express disappointment.
