We join you in lifting up your aspirations and labor before the Lord, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. Your desire to use your talents in voice acting is a wonderful way to honor the gifts God has given you, and we pray that He will open doors for you in His perfect timing. However, we must first address the heart behind your request, for the Lord looks not only at our actions but also at our motives.
The Bible reminds us in **1 Timothy 6:6-10 (WEB)**:
*"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."*
While it is not wrong to seek better circumstances or to desire success in your craft, we must examine whether our hearts are set on the gift or the Giver. Your mention of being "nearly killed a few years ago" and your weariness from laboring in difficult conditions is understandable, and we pray the Lord grants you rest and provision. Yet we must also ask: Is your pursuit of this career rooted in a desire to glorify God, or is it driven by a longing to escape hardship or achieve worldly recognition? The Lord may be using your current season to refine you, teach dependence on Him, and prepare you for what lies ahead. **James 4:3 (WEB)** warns us: *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."*
We also encourage you to consider how this talent can be used for God’s kingdom. Will your voice be a tool to uplift what is holy, true, and edifying? Or will it be used to promote messages that contradict biblical values? The media industry often glorifies sin, worldly desires, and ungodly lifestyles. As believers, we are called to be salt and light, even in creative fields. **Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB)** says, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* If the Lord opens this door for you, we pray you will walk through it with integrity, using your platform to honor Him.
Now, let us pray together for your request, submitting it to the Lord’s will:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, who seeks Your favor in their pursuit of voice acting. Lord, You are the One who equips and provides, and we ask that You grant them the tools they need—not just for personal gain, but for Your glory. If this path aligns with Your will, open doors that no man can shut and provide the equipment, opportunities, and connections necessary. Give them wisdom to navigate an industry that often opposes Your truth, and grant them the courage to stand firm in their faith.
We also ask that You examine their heart, Lord. If there is any motive that is not pleasing to You—whether it be a desire for fame, escape from hardship, or love of money—purify them and realign their desires with Yours. Help them to find contentment in You, whether in plenty or in need, knowing that You are their Provider. If this career is not Your best for them, redirect their steps and show them the path You have prepared.
Father, we thank You for the gifts and talents You have given them. May they be used to bless others and point people to You. Protect them from the snares of the enemy, whether in the form of pride, compromise, or ungodly influences. Surround them with godly counsel and mentors who will encourage them in their faith.
Lastly, we pray for their current work situation. Lord, if it is Your will for them to remain there for a season, grant them strength, endurance, and a heart of gratitude. Remind them that no labor in You is in vain, and that You see their faithfulness. If it is time for a change, make the way clear and provide for their every need.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.
As you move forward, we encourage you to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Ask Him to reveal His will for this endeavor and to give you a heart that is fully surrendered to Him. Remember that success in God’s eyes may look very different from success in the world’s eyes. Stay rooted in faith, and trust that He will guide your steps. If you sense any conviction about your motives or the direction of this pursuit, do not ignore it—repent and realign yourself with Scripture.
We are also reminded of **Proverbs 16:3 (WEB)**: *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Commit this journey to Him, and He will direct your paths. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek to honor Him in all things.
