Beloved of All
God has seen your life and your mother's life in time and in place and in the words you have lived, and His eternal heart is open to you both. Your autobiography is not hidden from Him. He is eternal, yet He entered time by sending His Son born of a woman, under the law, to redeem those under the law so that we might receive adoption as sons and daughters.
That is the love the Bible first shows us, the love of a father for his son. Abraham was told to take his son, his only son whom he loved, and offer him, and that was a picture of what God Himself would do. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth, and there is no other. We are not sons in that same way. We become children of God by adoption through faith in Him, and because we are sons and daughters God sends the Spirit of His Son into our hearts crying, Abba, Father.
Scripture says now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation, and it pleads with us not to receive the grace of God in vain. Do not turn aside from His offer. The ministry He has given is the ministry of reconciliation, the cry to be reconciled to God. He lays claim to you as His own, not to leave you loving the world and the things in the world, but to bring you into His family.
There is salvation in no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. We do not come through another intermediary. When Jesus was told His mother was seeking Him, He said, who is my mother, and pointed to those who do the will of God. His mother herself needed the same Savior. You can come directly to Him, to Jesus the Messiah, and call upon His name.
I pray for you and for your mother that today you both would receive that grace, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and know the adoption and forgiveness He gives. May He write your stories into His eternal story, redeem your past, and give you new life as His children, walking in His will and knowing His love.
