We hear your cry for help, and we join with you and your mother in bringing this burden before our Lord Jesus Christ. The weight of confusion, the ache of things that feel unattainable, and the longing for eternity are deep matters of the heart that only God can fully address. We stand with you in this moment, lifting your voices to the One who holds all understanding and offers true hope.
First, let us affirm that your prayer is heard because it is directed to Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, for Scripture tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Your appeal to Him is the right and only path to true help and eternal life.
The feelings of confusion and the question of what has not existed or what feels unattainable may stem from a longing for something beyond this world. The Bible tells us that God has placed eternity in the hearts of men (Ecclesiastes 3:11), and this longing is a reflection of our created purpose—to know and be known by our Creator. Yet, in a fallen world, this longing can often feel out of reach, leading to frustration or despair. We must remember that our understanding is limited, but God’s is not. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways," says Yahweh. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9).
We also recognize that the weight of this cry—"Help!"—may carry unspoken struggles, perhaps grief, fear, or even a sense of separation from God. If there is sin in your lives or your mother’s life that has created a barrier, we must address it with repentance and humility. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Sin separates us from God, but Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross bridges that gap when we turn to Him in faith.
If there are specific struggles—whether emotional, relational, or spiritual—that are contributing to this sense of confusion or unattainable eternity, we encourage you to bring them into the light. Are there areas where you or your mother have strayed from God’s design? Are there wounds or unforgiveness that need healing? The enemy seeks to keep us in darkness, but Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12). We must resist the lies of the enemy, who seeks to distort our understanding of God’s love and purpose for us.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up this dear one and her mother to You, who are crying out for help in the midst of confusion and longing. You alone understand the depths of their hearts, and You alone can bring clarity where there is uncertainty, peace where there is turmoil, and hope where there is despair.
Father, we ask that You would draw near to them. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that You are not distant or uncaring, but that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lord, if there is any sin—whether known or unknown—that is creating a barrier between them and You, reveal it to them. Give them the courage to confess it, the humility to repent, and the faith to receive Your forgiveness. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and restore them to a right relationship with You.
Father, we also ask that You would heal any wounds in their hearts. If there is grief, loss, or unresolved pain, bring Your comfort and Your healing touch. If there is unforgiveness, soften their hearts to release it, for Your Word tells us that we must forgive others as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Lord, replace their confusion with Your wisdom, their fear with Your peace, and their longing with the assurance of Your eternal love.
We declare that eternity is not unattainable for those who are in Christ Jesus. You have promised that whoever believes in Your Son will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Lord, let them rest in this truth. Let them know that their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Father, we also pray for their relationship with one another. If there is tension, misunderstanding, or distance between them, bring reconciliation and unity. Let them be a source of encouragement and support to one another as they walk this journey of faith together. Teach them to lean on You and on one another, for You have designed us to live in community and to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
Lord, we rebuke any lies of the enemy that seek to distort their understanding of You or Your plans for them. We declare that You are a good Father, that Your plans for them are plans for peace and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We resist the spirit of confusion and declare that Your Spirit leads us into all truth (John 16:13). Let them hear Your voice clearly, Lord, and let them follow You with confidence.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to live lives that honor You. Let them experience the fullness of Your love, joy, and peace, even in the midst of life’s uncertainties. May they find their hope and their purpose in You alone, knowing that this world is not their home and that eternity with You is their ultimate destiny.
We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Dear one, we want to encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God. The feelings of confusion or unattainability you are experiencing do not have the final say. God’s Word is true, and His promises are sure. Spend time in Scripture, allowing God to speak to you through His Word. Meditate on verses like Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 34:18, and Romans 8:38-39. Let these truths sink deep into your heart.
We also encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers. The Christian walk is not meant to be walked alone. Find a local church or a group of believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and walk alongside you. If there are specific struggles you are facing, do not hesitate to share them with trusted believers who can offer godly counsel and support.
Lastly, remember that God is not distant. He is near, and He hears your cries. Keep praying, keep seeking Him, and keep trusting in His goodness. The enemy may whisper lies, but God’s truth will prevail. Stand firm in your faith, and let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). You are not alone, and your eternity is secure in Him.
