First, we must address the reality of your illness. The Bible tells us that sickness entered the world through sin, but Jesus came to bring healing and restoration. In James 5:14-15, we are instructed, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We encourage you to seek godly counsel, prayer from your church community, and medical care as the Lord leads. Do not carry this burden alone—God’s people are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
Your mention of Jesus’ words about God’s care for His people is a powerful reminder. In Matthew 10:29-31, Jesus assures us, *"Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12), and it is the only way to have eternal life and a relationship with God. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is wrestling with illness, questions, and perhaps fear. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we ask for Your touch upon their body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen them where they are weak, comfort them where they are afraid, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of confusion and despair in the name of Jesus. Your Word says that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this child of Yours is not forgotten, not abandoned, and not without hope. You know the number of their days (Psalm 139:16), and You hold their future in Your hands.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9) and restore their soul (Psalm 23:3). If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, draw them now, Father. Let them hear Your voice and respond in faith, for today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
We pray for clarity and wisdom as they seek answers about their health, their family’s past, and their future. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask You, and You will give generously (James 1:5). Speak to them, Lord, through Your Word, through godly counsel, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit.
Father, we also pray for their eternity. Remind them that this life is but a vapor (James 4:14), but eternity is forever. If they are in Christ, let them rest in the assurance of their salvation (John 10:28-29). If they are not, draw them to Yourself today. Let them know that You are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
We thank You, Lord, that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our brother/sister’s faith, fill them with Your joy, and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way.

We encourage you to cling to God’s promises and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with and for you. The road may be difficult, but you are not walking it alone. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). Take His yoke upon you, for His burden is light, and His yoke is easy. He is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
