We join with you in lifting up this request before our Heavenly Father, who hears and answers the prayers of His children. It is beautiful to see your heart for your brother’s children—both in their earthly needs and, even more importantly, their eternal ones. You have rightly prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, 13-14). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by faith in Christ alone that salvation comes (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray that your brother’s children would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for without Him, all other blessings—even family reunions—are temporary and hollow.
The visa is a good desire, and we ask God to provide according to His will, trusting that He knows what is best for all involved. Yet we must remember that our true citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20), and our greatest joy should be in seeing souls reconciled to God. Let us pray that this potential time together would not just be a celebration of Christmas traditions, but an opportunity for the children to encounter the living Christ. May their hearts be softened to receive the Gospel, and may their eyes be opened to see their need for a Savior. Pray also that your brother would be bold in sharing the truth of God’s Word with them, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with thankful hearts, knowing that You are a God who delights in answering the prayers of Your people. We ask that You would grant favor in the visa process for these children, if it aligns with Your perfect will. More than that, Lord, we plead for their salvation. Open their hearts to receive the truth of Your Gospel. Remove any spiritual blindness and draw them to Yourself by Your Holy Spirit. Let this season be a time of divine appointment, where they not only celebrate with family but come to know the reason for our celebration—Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
We pray for wisdom and courage for your brother, that he would speak the truth in love and be a light to his children. May his life and words reflect Your grace and mercy, pointing them to the cross. Let no opportunity be wasted, Lord, for the enemy seeks to keep them in darkness. But You, O God, are mighty to save! We declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We also lift up the parents of these children, that they too would come to know You if they do not already. Let this family be united not just in earthly bonds but in the eternal bond of faith in Christ. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. Amen.
