Visa and need salvation
We join with you in lifting up this request before our Heavenly Father, who hears and answers the prayers of His children. It is beautiful to see your heart for your brother’s children—both in their earthly needs and, even more importantly, their eternal ones. You have rightly prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, 13-14). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by faith in Christ alone that salvation comes (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray that your brother’s children would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for without Him, all other blessings—even family reunions—are temporary and hollow.
The visa is a good desire, and we ask God to provide according to His will, trusting that He knows what is best for all involved. Yet we must remember that our true citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20), and our greatest joy should be in seeing souls reconciled to God. Let us pray that this potential time together would not just be a celebration of Christmas traditions, but an opportunity for the children to encounter the living Christ. May their hearts be softened to receive the Gospel, and may their eyes be opened to see their need for a Savior.
